The level of physical fitness during the coronavirus pandemic has become a basic need because exercise can increase immunity and improve physical fitness. Lack of physical activity during a pandemic can increase the risk of disease and obesity. So that the nutritional status increases while it is not accompanied by physical activity in sports students. This study aims to determine the level of physical fitness in terms of its relationship with nutritional status and learning achievement of students of the Sports Science Study Program at the State University of Medan. This research is a correlational study to find the relationship between two or more variables. This study has two independent variables, namely physical fitness and nutritional status, and one dependent variable, namely learning achievement in practical courses. The participants in this study were students following the Physical Fitness training course, amounting to 42 students. The results in this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between nutritional status and student achievement. There is a significant relationship between physical fitness and student achievement. There is a significant relationship between nutritional status and physical fitness with student achievement. Physical fitness contributed to student learning achievement by providing an effective contribution of 39%, while nutritional status was 72.53%.
This research aims to improve the speaking skill for the students who take the oral expression course. The objects of this research are the students in the French department, especially who take the expression oral course 3. It is found that the previous class couldn't improve the speaking skill of the students very well. Most of the students were not very interested in the learning process. From the questionnaire given, it is found that they were bored because nothing was interesting and exciting in the class. The media they used was only a book from the lecturer. So, the making learning media of expression Orale by using YouTube aims to help learners to understand French with the local cultural situation. Making learning media of speaking using YouTube based on local culture is very important to improve the learning abilities of French. This video will also be handy for French tourists who visit Indonesia, especially Medan because this video will present the real situation in Medan. The research method uses Research and Development which is carried out in the French Language Education Study Program. The results of this research show that the students are enthusiastic in the learning process, their ability in speaking is also improving, and the media supports the learning process very good.
Increasing of a teaching media that is able to meet the needs of the learning process throughout the Covid-19 pandemic where the teaching process cannot directly or face to face, especially in foreign language learning, especially French in class X in first semester students who should receive the most basic French language learning. This situation is of course a big challenge for teachers as facilitators who must transfer knowledge to make the learning process better and students do not lose the real atmosphere of the learning process. An interactive multimedia for French Learners in North Sumatra using Adobe flash professional CS6 software which aims to improve student motivation and learning outcomes in writing descriptive text material contained in the learning objectives decrire une personne et une chose. Interactive multimedia that is developed and implemented in learning is very important because it has been proven to be feasible and effective. The object of this research is the students of class X at SMA 21 Medan. The purpose of the research is to develop interactive multimedia on descriptive text material for French learners in North Sumatra and knowing the effectiveness of interactive multimedia products based on Adobe Flash Professional CS 6 to improve the ability to write descriptive text of students of SMA Negeri 21 Medan. This research was conducted using the R&D development research method by adapting the DDD-E development model, as for the interactive multimedia development steps for learning descriptive text writing skills for students of class XI SMA as follows: (1) Decide, (2) Design (product design), (3) Development (product development), (4)) Evaluation (product test). To obtain data validity, we use the validation of media experts and material experts. To obtain data validity, validation of media experts and material experts is required with the following results: (1) material validation shows the eligibility percentage is 88.5% in the very good category (2) media validation shows the Feasibility percentage is 87.3% with the very good category. The results of individual trials were declared "very good" with an average percentage of 82.7%. The effectiveness of interactive multimedia products is seen from the increase in student learning outcomes in descriptive text material before and after using interactive multimedia. There is a difference in value 22.30. This Interactive multimedia that is feasible and effective is used as a medium for teaching French in high school, especially class x semester 1, which must acquire basic French knowledge with a precise and interesting process during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Architecture is an object that can be related to a communication system. In communication systems called Semiotics is needed to examine the object being studied. Semiotics is a guide in finding the meaning of an architectural project, for this article emphasizes the search for architectural meanings of architectural projects that are appreciated by observers. The method used is descriptive qualitative by observing and finding the facts in the site. The object of the study was Tjong A Fie’s house in the Kesawan area of Medan City. The results of this object study were analyzed based on the semiotic theory to draw conclusions about its role in the figure of the building. The analysis results of buildings show that there is someone role for building figures in presenting the expression of his power to a building or living environment in colonial era, that is representing of Tjong A Fie.
