In the first paper of this series,1 which in the following will be designated as I, a calorimeter for the study of reactions in the gaseous phase at elevated temperatures and also some measurements of the heat of hydrogenation of ethylene were described. The present paper deals with the heat of hydrogenation of some simple homologs of ethylene, while the next one will be devoted to some of the more complex unsaturated hydrocarbons.
