The aim of this descriptive study is to examine review of the ICT and TPACK literature for teacher education. Firstly, the general characteristics of the ICT and TPACK have been examined. In the study, the researchers answer the questions namely "How is the distribution of the articles of TPACK of the year?", "How is the distribution of the subject of article of ICT and TPACK?", "What is the distribution according to the year of the subject of article of ICT and TPACK?" and "How can we integrate the TPACK to our teacher training program?" 116 articles were analysed. It focused on ICT and TPACK and findings and discussions were conducted. The study presents some recommendations to the teacher education.
The importance of dynamic geometry software has been increased in mathematics education by means of using technology in mathematics classes. This study was conducted in a middle school in Mustafakemalpasa in Bursa. The effects of using the dynamic software Geometer's Sketchpad (GSP) on middle school students in mathematics classes was searched in this study. The worksheets including the open ended questions, filling in the blank parts and the activities which were designed by GSP software were used during the lessons. At the end of the lessons, the interview which includes seven open ended questions was carried out with eight middle school students. The students were asked their opinions about using GSP in their mathematics classes.Content analyses method was used to analyze the qualitative data which was obtained from interviews. The result of the analysis indicates that at the end of the lessons students' views about learning mathematics are changed positively by virtue of using GSP. Furthermore using GSP in mathematics classes facilitates the students' learning of geometry concepts and improves the retention of learned concepts.
This study was conducted to reveal how parents perceive the distance education process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study group consists of 15 participants in Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli province. The case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study and data were collected online with a semi-structured interview form. Demographic characteristics, problems experienced by parents in distance education during the Covid-19 pandemic, positive and negative experiences, and opinions were interrogated via "Google Forms". The descriptive analysis and content analysis methods were preferred to analyse data. The results showed that parents attributed the inability to learn efficiently during the Covid-19 process to the inefficacy of online education, distraction, anxiety, environment, and noise. Trainings can be given to parents so that they can help their children efficiently in the distance education process. It is recommended that internet infrastructure be strengthened to deal with connection problems. Research Article
