Background: Elderly is someone who because of his advanced age experiences biological, physical, psychological and social changes. One of the physical changes that occur in the elderly is a problem with decreased area of motion, one of which is osteoarthritis which often affects several joints, such as the joints of the fingertips, thumbs, knees, hips, heels and causes joint pain. Pain is very disturbing and makes it difficult for the elderly to do their activities, so the need for proper treatment is to reduce the pain that occurs due to osteoarthritis. One therapy that can be recommended is non-pharmacological therapy, namely infrared therapy. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of infrared therapy on the reduction of lower limb pain in the elderly with osteoarthritis. Methods: The design of this study is a quasy experimental design with a pre-post-test control group design .. where the elderly will be divided into 2 groups, namely the treatment group given infrared therapy and the control group who did not receive infrared therapy. This research was conducted at PSTW Wana Sraya Denpasar, for three weeks from July 20 to August 2020. The sample in this study was 30 elderly who experienced pain in their lower extremities with osteoarthritis. Results: The results of this study showed that most of the elderly> 65 years were 63.3% and 66.6% female. The elderly mostly experience pain scale 4-6 (moderate pain) in the lower extremities. The results of statistical tests showed that giving infrared therapy had an effect on reducing the pain scale in the lower extremities in the elderly with OA (p = 0.000) Conclusion: There was a decrease in the pain scale before and after infra-red administration and there was a significant effect on reducing lower limb pain in the elderly with osteoarthritis who were given infrared 8 times a week for 3 weeks.
Abstract-Primary dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain occurring in the absence of pelvic pathology. It was caused by the production of neurotransmitter: prostaglandins. Psychological factors or stress can also cause dysmenorrhea. Physical activity and meditation are non-pharmacological treatments for this problem because of the effectiveness to reduce chronic menstrual pain. A total 40 female adolescents aged 16 -18 years, who have primary dysmenorrhea at Senior High School of Health Bali Khresna Medika was divided into two groups randomly. Each groups contains 20 participants for physical activity treatment group and 20 for meditation treatment group. Menstrual pain scale measurements conducted in the two groups using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) before and after treatment. One group was delivered physical activity intervention and the other meditation twice a week for two months. The result of study showed that physical activity and meditation could reduce menstrual pain scale effectively (p<0.005). Based on the statistical analysis there was no significant difference between the effectiveness of physical activity and meditation (p>0.005) interventions. Physical activity and meditation can reduce menstrual pain level significantly.

Apabila diabetes mellitus tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat menimbulkan berbagai komplikasi yang dapat memperburuk kesehatan.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gambaran Gula Darah Sewaktu Pada Lansia Di Panti Sosial Tresna Wredha Wana Sraya Denpasar Dan Panti Sosial Wredha Santi TabananMetode: Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan metode deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Panti Sosial Tresna Wredha Wana Sraya Denpasar Dan Panti Sosial Wredha Santi Tabanan. Jumlah populasi 50 responden, dengan 11 responden tidak memenuhi kriteria sehingga terdapat 39 responden. Instrumen Penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, alat Easytouch dan stik gula darah untuk mengukur kadar gula darah sewaktu. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan komputerisasi. Data disajikan secara tekstular dan disertai dengan tabel.Hasil: Pengukuran gula darah sewaktu menunjukkan 24 responden (61,54%), dengan katagori belum pasti DM (100-199 mg/dl); 11 responden (28,21%) dengan katagori bukan DM (< 100 mg/dl), sedangkan 4 responden (10,25%) menunjukkan katagori DM (>200 mg/dl). Nilai rata – rata gula darah sewaktu pada 39 responden adalah 140,025 mg/dl.Simpulan: Sebagian besar lansia menunjukkan hasil pemeriksaan gula darah sewaktu dengan katagori belum pasti DM sebanyak 24 responden, dengan rentang hasil pemeriksaan 100 – 199 mg/dl. Backgroud: Elderly is a most vulnerable to disease. Most elderly people have psychological disturbances due to the tension because it is not able to adapt to the changes experienced. One of the impacts caused by stress or emotional tension is sleep disturbance. To solve the emotional stress is needed relax condition or action that is pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic assisting elderly to fall a sleep. This study aims to determine the efforts made in meeting the needs of the elderly sleep. Methods: The method used in this study is structured interviews. Of 60 samples obtained through purposive sampling technique. The data was collected through questionnaires and interviews with the guidelines made by direct questioning of respondents and researchers have known for sure about what information will be obtained.Results: The results obtained after research are most forms of sleep problem in insomnia elderly (53,33%), most of the pharmacologic efforts in meeting the needs of the elderly sleep is taking the herbs (48,33%) and most of the effort in meeting the needs sleep non-pharmacologic elderly is a lifestyle change (48.33%). Conslusion: Based on these results, it is recommended to nurses or nursing staff to be able to make this research as a basis for thinking in meeting the needs of elderly and bed use and the pharmacological action suit non-pharmacologic sleep problems experienced by elderly. Background: Hypertension has now become a global problem because its prevalence continues to increase along with lifestyle changes that include unhealthy habits. the aim is to find out a description of lifestyle in hypertensive patients in West Denpasar Health Center II. Method: The study design was descriptive with the Cross Sectional approach. The sample in this study were all hypertensive patients who were treated at the Denpasar Public Health Center II. The sampling technique is Acidental sampling with a sample of 46 respondents. The research instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. The results of data processing are presented in narrative form, frequency distribution tables are accompanied by interpretations. Results: Hypertension sufferers in West Denpasar Health Center II were 27 respondents (58.7%) who did not have the habit of consuming excess salt; 26 respondents (56.5%) who did not have coffee consumption habits; 34 respondents (73.9%) who did not have the habit of consuming liquor; 32 respondents (69.6) did not have smoking habits; 26 respondents (56.5%) respondents did not have enough hours of rest / sleep; respondents who do sufficient activities / sports; 46 respondents as many as 25 respondents (54.3%) obeyed taking drugs; 25 respondents (54.3%) did not routinely carry out tension control; 30 respondents (65.2%) faced maladaptive stressors. Conclusion: To reduce the incidence of hypertension in patients with hypertension, health promotion programs to the public regarding hypertension factors need to be optimized.Keywords: Hypertension; Lifestyle
