In this project we discussed the cooling load calculations for a commercial building by using revit software Window air conditioners, split air conditioners are used in small buildings and offices etc but in big buildings and commercial complex we use central air conditioning systems this systems are installed far away from the buildings. The cooled air is supplied to the building with the help of ducts. When ducts are not properly designed, then it will lead to problem such as frictional loss, higher installation cost, increased noise and power consumption. For minimizing this problem, a proper design of duct is needed. Equal friction method is used to design the duct; it gives the comparison of pressure drop in rectangular duct and circular duct. Central air conditioning is more reliable for easy operation with a lower maintenance cost. Cooling load items such as, people heat gain, lighting heat gain, infiltration and ventilation heat gain can easily by using REVIT SOFTWARE. The programme can also be used to calculate cooling load due to walls and roofs. And results were compared with the standard data given by ASHRAE and CARRIER. The RULE OF THUMB method is used to calculate the heat developed in the rooms. These methods are used for lower power consumption capital cost and improve aesthetics of building
This work mainly pertains to improvement in the mechanical properties of IS 2062 steel plates welds through gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process. TIG (Tungsten inert gas) welding are well known welding techniques, that are being used in industries in the current age. Mild steel was the only commonly used material in TIG welding. Mild steel is the first material consumption. The comparison is done on the basis of the mechanical properties of the welded joint of TIG welding. This study is done on mechanical testing and non-destructive tests (DPT and radiography tests) of TIG welding on IS 2062 Mild steel plates.
NDE (Non-destructive Evaluation) has evolved as an essential demand in much modern engineering equipment's like Heat Exchangers, Marine Industries and Oil Refineries. The performance levels and reliability of the NDE is more important to the end use of the object being inspected. Failure is the primary threat to the integrity, safety and performance of marine structure. Aluminum Alloy-6082 of dimensions 200X170X12 weldments are chosen for this project in view of its applications in heat exchangers, marine and oil refineries. It was taken for this project in the form of plate and welded by tungsten inert gas welding (TIG). The basic NDT experimental methods such as liquid penetrating test, magnetic particle test, ultrasonic test, and radiography test are chosen for quality assurance of the materials. penetrant testing for to surface defects, ultrasonic testing to detect the subsurface and internal defects, gamma-ray radiography for internal defects. the results from methods were analysed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
