Teori Kontak merupakan salah satu teori Psikologi klasik yang paling banyak digunakan untuk membahas relasi antar kelompok. Beberapa ahli Psikologi Sosial mengemukakan bahwa teori ini menjadi pilihan utama dalam studi yang membahas relasi antar kelompok, terutama tentang conflik antar kelompok yang melibatkan prasangka. Meskipun demikian, bahasan tentang perkembangan Teori Kontak terutama dalam konteks Indonesia masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi kontribusi terhadap pengetahuan baru melalui kajian literatur terkait dengan perkembangan Teori Kontak di Indonesia. Kajian literatur menunjukkan perkembangan terbaru, kelebihan dan kekurangan serta relevansi aplikasi Teori Kontak dalam konteks Indonesia yang multi kultural.
Abstract-During this period, study on ethno-religious group relations is more focused on the conflicts that occur between them. This condition then has implications for the many theoretical reviews about it. Theories that discuss about ethno-religious group conflict are very easy to find in various social science literatures, including psychology. In contrast to ethnic-religious group conflict, study about harmony of ethno-religious group relation are still rarely done so that it implies to the lack of theoretical reviews about it. Even if there is a theory, it does not explain comprehensively. Although, as a discipline, psychology has actually offered some theoretical concept that explain comprehensively about harmony of ethno-religious group relation. This paper aims to inform the public that the psychology, especially social psychology has long been concerned about harmony of ethno-religious group relation. Contact Theory, Cross Cutting Categorization Theory, Common Ingroup Identity Model Theory, and Cooperation and Competition Theory are some social psychology theories that discuss about harmony of ethno-religious group relation which will be describes systematically and concise in this paper.
According to the KBBI, students are people who study in universities. According to the definition, work is not a student's job. However, not a few students are studying and working simultaneously. Various reasons underlie it, especially economic factors. Of course, the situation of studying and working for students has implications for role conflict. On the one hand, they must act as students. On the other hand, they have to act as workers. If not accompanied by adequate psychological attributes, this condition can lead to role conflict problems for students, which has implications for disrupting lecture activities, which then impacts the length of the study period, even dropping out of college. Many factors are assumed to influence role conflict in working students, one of which is self-regulated learning. This study then tries to determine how much self-regulated learning predictive ability is for role conflict in working students. A quantitative method with a simple regression model is used as an analysis technique-the sample involved as many as 96 working students who live in the city of Makassar. The analysis results show that the role of conflict in working students is determined by self-regulated learning by 24.1%, while the remaining 75.9% is determined by other factors not examined in this study. This study implies the importance of self-regulated learning to be promoted to the working students for increasing their achievement.
