This article analyzes the gastronomic aspects of the Ainu folklore in Japan. Gastronomic aspects examinedinclude how Ainu folklore narrates how they collect and cook food materials, how they consume, andwhat cultural values are attached to both the process of food production and consumption. The studyapplied library research and the object of analysis were selectively chosen from Ainu Mukashi Banashi’sbook: Hitotsubu no Satchiporo (2012), an anthology of Ainu folklore edited by Kayano Shigeru. Thestories chosen analyzed by the literary anthropology theory. The results show that the Ainu folklorecontains narratives about how people collect food, cook, and consume them. The study of the gastronomicnarratives of Ainu folklore presents a novelty that folklore not only contains a moral message for characterformation but is also a medium for preserving and continuing food and culinary culture across time andgenerations.Keywords: Ainu folktale, literary gastronomy, traditional food of Ainu JapanABSTRAKArtikel ini menganalisis aspek gastronomi dari cerita rakyat Ainu Jepang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan risetperpustakaan dan objek kajian dipilih secara selektif dari buku Ainu Mukashi Banashi: Hitotsubuno Satchiporo (2012), sebuah antologi cerita rakyat Ainu dengan editor Kayano Shigeru. Datadianalisis dengan teori antropologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerita rakyatAinu mengandung narasi tentang cara masyarakat mengumpulkan bahan makanan, memasak,dan mengkonsumsinya. Stories about tourist attractions can add dimensions to the quality of the attraction and the tourist experience. This article analyzes the benefits of folklore in improving the quality of tourist attractions in Sidetapa Tourism Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency. The village, which is classified as an ancient Balinese village, has begun to develop itself as a tourist village and has a tourist attraction related to the village’s folklore. This qualitative research begins with identifying folklore and selecting those related to tourist attractions in Sidetapa Village. By using the storynomics approach, the selected stories are then arranged in two forms, namely the complete form and the concise form. This story is prepared for tourism-awareness groups that can be used as material in guiding tours. This article contributes to showing the reciprocal benefits of folklore and tourist attraction, in terms of the role of folklore to increase the dimensions of the quality of tourist attraction and the benefits of tourism activities in preserving folklore by introducing them to the public and tourists. Following the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, Japanese language education at the high school / vocational level (SMA / SMK) in Bali faces a significant challenge. The lack of thorough understanding and communication caused the teachers to feel that the Merdeka Curriculum was less friendly to the Japanese language class hours in their schools. This article aims to describe the problems encountered in SMA / SMK in Bali related to Japanese language education not only in terms of policies in the form of the curriculum but also from the side of schools, teachers, and students. The data collection method uses a google survey form followed by an unstructured interview. The study in this article is included in the qualitative grounded theory research. Based on the research results, the problems faced by Japanese language education in SMA / SMK in Bali can be grouped into four categories: curriculum in SMA / SMK, school support, teacher ability, and student enthusiasm. It requires a correct understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum and good communication with policymakers in schools in order to overcome the problems faced.
Banyak ungkapan terkenal di masyarakat yang asal-usulnya kurang diketahui oleh publik, padahal ungkapan itu berasal dari karya seni seperti lagu atau karya sastra. Ungkapan-ungkapan seperti “jaen hidup di Bali” (enak hidup di Bali), “sakadi ngurug pasih” (ibarat menimbun samudera), “gede ombak gede angin” (ombak besar angin kencang), dan “tresnane ajur lebur satonden kembang” (kasih layu sebelum berkembang) adalah ekspresi kearifan lokal Bali yang bisa dirunut jejaknya lewat karya sastra. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendulang, menggali, mengumpulkan, dan menganalisis kata-kata mutiara yang terkandung dalam sastra Bali modern. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan intertekstualitas untuk melihat hubungan antara ungkapan dalam sastra dan dalam sumber lainnya serta perbedaan makna kontekstualnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada tujuh jenis kata-kata mutiara yang banyak muncul dalam karya sastra Bali modern, yaitu sesonggan (pepatah), sesawangan (perumpamaan), seloka (bidal), wawangsalan, sesimbing, peparikan, dan bladbadan. Dari ketujuh bentuk itu, sesonggan (pepatah) yang paling banyak muncul karena paling efektif untuk menyampaikan ungkapan secara tidak langsung.
