The study was conducted at BBPOM in Denpasar. The number of samples used was as many as 90 people using the saturated sample selection method. Data collection using a questionnaire that uses a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques were performed using structural equation modeling with a partial least square approach and using the VAF test to test the role of mediation. The results showed that emotional intelligence had a significant positive effect on employee performance at BBPOM in Denpasar with a path coefficient of 0.469. Job satisfaction is known to partially mediate the relationship of emotional intelligence to employee performance at BBPOM in Denpasar. The findings in this study provide the implication that to produce good performance in order to achieve excellent service, it is necessary to have activities in the form of training related to emotional intelligence and job satisfaction that can effectively improve employee skills to have an understanding and sensitivity to emotions of themselves and others, so that employees can deal well with all forms of organizational life dynamics and show maximum performance to achieve excellent service.
Merkuri (Hg) merupakan logam berat yang berbahaya dan beracun. Penggunaan merkuri yang tidak disertai dengan pengelolaan limbah dan kemampuan merkuri untuk terakumulasi di dalam lingkungan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan emisi merkuri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kandungan merkuri pada hasil laut dan risikonya terhadap masyarakat di sekitar Pantai Amed Karangasem dan Pantai Sanur Denpasar yang terletak di Provinsi Bali. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan analisis risiko kesehatan lingkungan (ARKL), dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling dan teknik pemilihan responden simple random sampling. Sampel merupakan jenis ikan yang dominan dikonsumsi oleh subjek penelitian di masing-masing lokasi penelitian, dan responden atau subjek penelitian yang digunakan yakni nelayan. Penentuan kadar Hg dilakukan dengan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (AAS). Hasil uji menunjukkan rata-rata kandungan Hg pada sampel yang berasal dari Pantai Sanur sebesar 0,162 µg/g, lebih tinggi bila dibandingkan dengan sampel dari Pantai Amed sebesar 0,024 µg/g. Berdasarkan analisis risiko diperoleh nilai risk quotient sebesar 1,09 (RQ > 1) untuk respondent dari Pantai Sanur dan risk quotient sebesar 0,18 (RQ ? 1) untuk respondent dari Pantai Amed. Seluruh sampel ikan yang diuji terdeteksi mengandung Hg namun, belum melewati ambang batas aman. Berdasarkan perhitungan analisis risiko, kandungan Hg pada sampel ikan dari Pantai Sanur berpotensi menimbulkan risiko kesehatan bagi responden yang mengonsumsinya, namun diperlukan adanya penelitian lanjutan untuk memastikan hasil tersebut.
