Pembuatan paduan Al-Mg dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pengecoran. Komposisi paduan yang akan diteliti adalah 98% - 2%, 96% - 4%, dan 94% - 6% (perbandingan Aluminium - Magnesium). Dari hasil pengujian tarik didapatkan modulus elastisitas paduan Al-Mg dengan komposisi 98%-2% sebesar 4.44 GPa. Untuk paduan 96%-4% sebesar 4.46 GPa, dan untuk paduan 94%-6% sebesar 3.56 GPa. Hasil terbaik didapatkan dari komposisi 96%-4% yaitu sebesar 4,46 GPa.
Vibration can be used for preventive condition monitoring in industrial equipment. Vibration measurement may avoid unexpected damages. The measurement data can be analyzed either by using signal processing or machine learning. This work assessed bearing damage detection as bearing is intensively used in industrial mechanical equipment. The assessment was performed experimentally by developing system prototype and measurement tools, including the use of laser vibrometer and a labjack as well as support vector machine to predict some types of damages. The work has been able to predict the BPFI, BPFO, BSF, and FTF damages by 93.125% accuracy. However, accuracy plunged to 61.25% when bearing damages were of three types: BPFO, BSF and FTF.
The process of palm oil purification trough Sludge separator serves to separate sludge and palm oil. This is an important process at the palm oil mill. The purpose of this research was to identify failure probabilities and reliability of sludge separator using failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and reliability block diagram (RBD). It was found that the sludge separator suffered severe damage and also frequent failure, the reliability before maintenance improvement is 17% and after applied some maintenance procedure correction achieved reliability 84.48%.
Working in an awkward posture without using work aids for welding shop workers can pose a risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders. The study aims to determine the factors associated with the risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders in welding workshop workers in the city of Lhokseumawe. This type of research is a type of quantitative research, with a cross sectional approach. Performed on 40 populations which are all used as samples. Data collection was carried out through interviews using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) worksheet to determine the level of MSDs complaints and to find out whether age, education, years of work, number of hours worked, number of hours of rest (independent variables) affected the MSDs (dependent variable). The results showed that there was an influence of the age factor (p value = 0,000), years of service (p value = 0,000), the number of hours worked (p value = 0.009) and the number of hours of sleep (p value = 0.009) on the risk of MSDs, but the education factor did not show the effect which is significant (pvalue = 0.548). The conclusions of this study are: age, years of work, number of hours worked and number of hours of sleep are the causes of MSDs risk in welding workshop workers except the level of education which is mostly high school. It is recommended to welding workshop workers to use tools such as work desks to reduce the odd work posture, the allocation of working time in accordance with the applicable government regulations, namely 7 hours a day by business owners, as well as the continuity of activities of the UKK Team towards informal workers both in terms of knowledge transfer (counseling) and health services.
Pembangunan konstruksi dengan menggunakan logam pada masa sekarang ini banyak melibatkan unsur pengelasan khususnya bidang rancang bangun karena sambungan las merupakan salah satu pembuatan sambungan yang secara teknis memerlukan keterampilan yang tinggi bagi pengelas agar diperoleh sambungan dengan kualitas baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan nilai ketangguhan sambungan las pada material aluminium magnesium serta karakterisitik hasil pengelasan dengan variasi tekanan gas oxy asetilen . pada penelitian ini menggunakan campuran logam aluminium-magnesium pada pengelasan oxy asetilen welding (OAW) dengan variasi tekanan O2 1lb,c2h2 3lb/m² dan tekanan O2 2 lb,c2h2 6lb/m². Hasil pengujian pada penelitian ini meliputi hasil pengujian Tarik,di mana pada tekanan O2 1 lb,c2h2 3lb/m memiliki nilai tegangan rata-rata 85,6 MPa dan nilai regangan rata-rata 2,38 %, pada tekanan O2 2 lb,c2h2 6lb/m2 nilai tegangan rata-rata 112 MPa dan nilai regangan rata-rata 1,88 %.pada pengujian Impact nilai rata-rata energi yang di serap pada tekanan O2 1 lb,c2h2 3lb/m2 23,85 J dan pada tekanan O2 2 lb,c2h2 6lb/m2 23,17 J, pengujian kekerasan pada tekanan O2 1 lb,c2h2 3lb/m2 nilai BHN rata-rata 97,53 dan pada tekanan O2 2 lb,c2h2 6lb/m2 nilai BHN rata-rata 81,63,dan Metallografi.dimana pada pengujian metalografi terlihat warna putih keperakan menunjukan aluminium dan butiran berwarna hitam menunjukan magnesium. Di mana pada tekanan O2 1 lb,c2h2 2lb/m2 terdapat lubang-lubang kecil ( porositas ),sementara pada tekanan O2 2 lb,c2h2 6lb/m hampir tidak memiliki lubang-lubang kecil ( porositas ).
