Pembuatan paduan Al-Mg dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pengecoran. Komposisi paduan yang akan diteliti adalah 98% - 2%, 96% - 4%, dan 94% - 6% (perbandingan Aluminium - Magnesium). Dari hasil pengujian tarik didapatkan modulus elastisitas paduan Al-Mg dengan komposisi 98%-2% sebesar 4.44 GPa. Untuk paduan 96%-4% sebesar 4.46 GPa, dan untuk paduan 94%-6% sebesar 3.56 GPa. Hasil terbaik didapatkan dari komposisi 96%-4% yaitu sebesar 4,46 GPa.

This section reinforced with retaining plate which serves to hold the wheels when braking process occurs. Research on the plate strength is still rarely found. Stress distribution that occurs on the plate due to shock loads is also not well known. Therefore, this study aims to obtain the strength retaining plate with a numerical analysis of the distribution of stress and deformation which occur on plate. Research done in two ways, experimentally and numerical simulations. Experimentally, direct measurements on the amount of stress that occurs on the plate. The research was done by putting strain gage on the connection plate and brake. In simulation, using Nastran software with the primary data based on the results of the experimental measurements. Based on the results of the numerical analysis of the stress distribution that occurs is obtained that the maximum stress distributed around the staging area in direct contact with the brake. Therefore, motorists should be aware that section and provide additional anchoring structure to further strengthen the structure of the retaining plate rear brake.</span></span>

During the cooling process of the melting temperature, steel begins to turn into a solid phase at a temperature of 13,500 C, in this phase there is a change in micro-structure. Normalization is the process of heating the metal until it reaches the austenite phase which is then desired slowly in AC media. The cooling results are perlite and ferrite but the results are much smoother than annelling. The voltage results after the tempering process showed the highest value at 200 oC is 1482, 311 N / mm2 and the lowest value at 400 oC was 1104, 75 N / mm2.
The power generated in the water turbine (Pelton turbine) varies depending on the flow of water entering the turbine. The research was conducted in the mechanical engineering laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universitas Harapan Medan. The experimental method is the method used in this study. By varying the 2 nozzles, the flow of water (Q) at 300 m3 / s and 375m3 / s, and at a bucket slope of -8o and 8o.The results obtained are: At -8o bucket slope the maximum turbine output power produced is 340 watts, and the minimum turbine output power is 250 watts. In the 8o tilt bucket, the maximum turbine output power generated is 460 watts, and the minimum turbine output power is 340 watts. The greatest efficiency is found in the maximum power of the turbine, which is 460 watts with an efficiency of 16%, which is found in the 8o tilt bucket.
XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of red and white cement. PCC cement packaging uses the main machine, namely the Rotary Packer machine, the packaging depends on consumer demand. If consumer demand continues to increase, the packaging process will take place continuously without stopping, and on the contrary, if consumer demand decreases slightly, the packaging process will also take place less. The high downtime of the Packer 1 machine causes production targets to be achieved, delays in the distribution process, and non-productive activities for employees. Based on these problems, the calculation of the effectiveness value on the Packer 1 machine using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. Which aims to determine the value of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) of the Packer 1 machine, to determine the comparison of the OEE value of the Packer 1 machine with international OEE values, and to determine the priority factors for repair and the root causes of problems and solutions. Based on the results of data processing, it can be concluded that the Packer 1 machine OEE value is 16.98% which is obtained from the Availability Ratio value of 49.48%, the Performance Efficiency Ratio of 30.04 and the Rate of Quality product of 100%.
