Empowerment of children aged from early to understand the mitigation of disasters is a step early build community aware of disaster so that when it happens a disaster then participants Extension is that teachers and children ages early in Community learning activity centre Baitul Muttaqin that is in place is no longer confusion and panic because it has understood how to how to overcome and reduce the risk of disaster. The purpose of knowledge that is acquired during the extension quake earth is transmitted to the environment around in order to reduce the risk of disaster, then the method of observation participant and pre-test post-test used in the extension of this. Results achievement and conclusions in the activity is as follows: a) Have their knowledge and understanding of the mitigation of disaster so that every action aims to increase self-awareness them about the disaster that potentially occur, and b) it has knowledge of preparedness will mitigate the disaster which aims to tackle and reduce the impact of disasters or long - term risks to property and human life.
Kata Kunci : Lahan Kritis, Mangrove, Sistem Informasi Geografis, Kabupaten Sukabumi Abstract : Mangrove forest is one of the tropical or sub-tropical coastal ecosystems which is very dynamic and has high productivity and ecological value. The mangrove ecosystem is one of the coastal ecosystems that is experiencing the impact of change due to climate change and human activities. Ciemas sub-district is an area that is a conservation area and a tourist center for mangroves in West Java province. The purpose of this study was to identify the level of vulnerability of critical mangrove ecosystems in the Ciemas District, Sukabumi Regency. The method used is scoring and weighting using Remote Sensing technology and Geographic Information Systems. The parameters used include land use, vegetation density, mangrove canopy density, and soil type or its sensitivity to abrasion or erosion. The results obtained are in the Landsat 8 image, the distribution of critical mangrove lands in the severely damaged category is scattered near the coastal areas. then the damaged category is spread out in coastal areas and along river banks. Whereas for the results of the Sentinel 2A image, the distribution of critical mangrove land with the severely damaged category is only at a certain point and has the smallest area, and for the distribution of critical mangrove land with the damaged category has the largest area. The potential for disaster in an area is based on the geographical characteristics of a place and the living factors of the surrounding community. Community preparedness must be implemented to minimise the impact of an earthquake. This study aimed to determine the level of community preparedness in facing earthquakes in Cisarua District, Indonesia, based on the results of earthquake hazard mapping. The research used the quantitative Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) for earthquake hazard mapping and disaster preparedness using questionnaires. The AHP parameters include earthquake acceleration, distance from the Lembang fault, rock type, soil type, land use, slope and population density. The sample for this study comprised 80 respondents from six villages with a relatively high level of vulnerability, namely the villages of Jambupida, Padaasih, Pasirhalang, Pasirlangu, Kertawangi and Tugumukti. Data collection was carried out through interviews and site surveys based on a questionnaire consisting of variables like knowledge and attitudes, policies, emergency response plans, disaster warning systems and resource mobilisation with a total of 80 respondents. The study results concluded that community preparedness was included in the unprepared category with a total score of 211. Aspects of kinship and kinship relations between residents greatly influenced community preparedness, and knowledge and attitudes were considered sufficient with a weight of 4.4. Increased public awareness of the potential for earthquake disasters must routinely be carried out through disaster emergency response outreach and training activities in addition to improving residents’ emergency response facilities.Contribution: The study findings highlight the village community’s earthquake disaster preparedness with the support of integrated spatial mapping of disaster vulnerability. The lack of awareness of the village community in earthquake disaster mitigation increases the level of disaster risk in their area.
