Emerging social media reported escalating political participation among young people in social media and stimulate their interest to become a media content producer. Young media content producer with the usage of multimedia applications such as producing political parody, designing persuasive information graphics to create a new perspective on political issues. However, exposing multiplatform political information significantly affects integrity conduct where it drives them to create and disseminate fake information, digital trace, create deep fake and produce online humour to create damage on politician reputation. Unquestionably, all political involvements mention lead young people to commit to domestic crime. A survey conducted for data gathering among 388 Higher Education Institution (HEI) students in Melaka to provide an empirical understanding of media literacy contribution towards political participation integrity. This study found that access, analysis and evaluate and create dimensions significantly influence the integrity of political participation among young people. HEI students keen to become young media content producer by reason of easy access to multiplatform media, analysing media content enhance their political knowledge and create media content for new political perspective and communicate them through social media to seek for social change.
During the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, it was observed that students faced problems of readiness towards the Open Distance Learning (ODL). It could be said that these issues could reduce students' perceptions with regards to perceived usefulness towards ODL implementations and academic performance. This study expounded a new cluster to measure the readiness with regards to perceived usefulness of ODL implementation: 1) technological readiness, 2) psychological readiness and 3) sociological readiness. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the impact of technological, psychological, and sociological readiness on perceived usefulness of ODL implementation. A survey was conducted on full time undergraduate students (n= 656) in UiTM Melaka (UiTMCM) campus. By using descriptive statistical analysis, it was found that technological and sociological readiness among undergraduate students has a strong significant predictor of perceived usefulness of ODL implementation, while psychological readiness reported no significant predictor on perceived usefulness of ODL implementation. This study has a twofold significance. Firstly, the findings are significant to higher education institutions, especially for developing countries such as Malaysia which has just experienced a full swing of the ODL implementation during the nation's movement control order. Moreover, the findings was essential to the campus Academic Affairs unit to assist academicians and the academics department to present the best approaches in terms of ODL course design, implementation, and measurement to assist students to experience the best processes during ODL teaching and learning situations forced upon them in 2020.
Objective: Money mule is a bank account used by another person unknowingly or voluntarily by the owner of the account to obtain a reward or by fraudulent means for illegal or illegal financial transactions. Syndicates usually get these mule accounts (also known as surrogate accounts) by deceiving those who need extra income and have a low level of financial literacy. This study will determine the level of awareness towards money mule and understanding towards the dangerous of money mule. In this research, both quantitative and qualitative approaches will be employed with surveys and interviews. Methodology: A Systematic Review was conducted in this study considering potential articles published from January 2020 to October 2021. Electronic data collection through Goggle Scholar (50 journals) was identified to studies related to the level of awareness on money mule or money laundering. Findings: This study concludes that, although the law enforcement agencies have the power to investigate money laundering and terrorism financing under the act, Malaysia is lacking in having a good investigative support system to assist the law enforcement agencies during the investigation process. Implications: Special attention should be given to any complex and unusual business transactions, especially if there seems to be an unlawful purpose. Programs to educate public on money laundering should be found in order to raise awareness towards money laundering and financing of terrorism.
The development of e-wallet technology is seen as an added value to the society's lifestyle today. However, each user will make a choice and show a different response to a new technology whether to accept or reject it. The world is developing more and more from time to time until the human role is taken over by various new technologies. Malaysia is no less great in implementing the introduction of the e-wallet payment system as a new facility for users. Various ICT sophistication and development are implemented to influence and change the minds of users to switch to e-wallet technology. Therefore, this conceptual paper is very important to develop the awareness to the readers and become a reference for all parties to understand the behavior of the community in Malaysia towards the acceptance of e-wallet technology.
