This study was aimed at investigating the use of Edmodo, an online learning platform in a Garuda Maintenance Facility class in Electronic Engineering study program of State Polytechnic of Malang. In addition, students’ perception toward the use of Edmodo was also explored to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of Edmodo. This study also investigated teacher’s activities that have been done via Edmodo. The activities done by students via Edmodo are presented in the result of this study to inspire other teachers about how to use Edmodo effectively. This study was a case study since it described and analyzed a group in a classroom setting to gain understanding through activities done in the classroom. Survey and interviews were used to collect the data about students’ perception and the description of classroom activities. The results showed that students had positive perceptions towards the use of Edmodo since it accomodated their need to apply technology in their learning. In addition, it could also encourage shy students who tended to be discouraged when interacted and participated without the aid of online tool in the classroom. Students also mentioned some obstacles encountered during the use of Edmodo such as slow internet connection and limited data package that was needed to connect to the internet. However, it can be concluded that the implementation of Edmodo in GMF class gained positive response. In addition, students also appreciated various activities conducted via Edmodo. It can be added that Edmodo as a learning platform is not only used to replace lecturer’s absence, but it can accomodate various learning activities that can increase communication skills in English.
The research was aimed to the effectiveness of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in teaching grammar. Experimental study of pretest-posttest was used in this research. Non-randomize sampling was used as sampling technique. The validity test was calculated using point biserial correlation, and reliability test was 0.848 which was calculated by using K-R 21 formula. In analyzing the data, researcher used ANCOVA. The result shows that average score of pretest was 60,95 for experimental group and 60,00 for control group. The average score of posttest was 85,95 for experimental group and 78,9 for control group. The calculation of ANCOVA found that the value of F is 8.7 and F critical with df 76 at 0.01 level of significance 6.96. it means that F value was higher the F critical. From the result of data analysis showed that Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) gave effect on teaching grammar for 7th grade students of junior high school.
Purpose of the study: Powerpoint is one of the communication tools which used to presenting learning material, and this article aims to know the use of PowerPoint as media that can improve students’ speaking skill. Methodology: The researcher uses the Pre-experimental method one group Pretest-Posttest design by regulating pretest to measure the subordinate variable, test treatment, and regulating posttest. Main Findings: The result shows that posttest frequency is higher than pretest frequency by compering median 12.6> 12.2. it means that PowerPoint provides video, audio, animation, slideshow, etc. can improve students’ speaking skills. Applications of this study: The population in this research are all of the students of MA Al-Asyhar Bungah Gresik with 20 social learners and 23 science learners class. Novelty/Originality of this study: Media makes the students more understand, the instructor must prepare the exciting material, by using interesting media it helps students more understand. Because the use of media will stimulate students' understanding, the teacher can use interested and straightforward media which can make them focus on the material.
This study focuses on the use of an online learning research project focused on students' speaking skills. It is an innovative and practical approach that can develop students to solve a problem by thinking critically. This study aimed to determine the effect of using inquiry project-based learning on students' speaking skills. The research was conducted at MTs Mambaus Sholihin Gresik in class VII Q. To determine whether inquiry-project based online learning is effective or not, researchers used a pre-experimental method, where the statistical formula of the t-test calculates information. The research result is that the pre-test's mean was 83.9189, and the norm of the post-test was 88.5135. The results showed that inquiry-project based online learning projects had a positive effect on students' speaking achievement. It means that there is a large effect, with a substantial difference in student scores before and after treatment. Thus it can be concluded that inquiry-project-based online learning is recommended to promote students' speaking skills.
Kata Kunci : Ekstrak buah mengkudu, bobot potong, karkas, giblet, lemak abdominal Effect of Addition of Noni Fruit Extract Supplemented Cu and Zn in The Ration on Slaughter Weight, Carcass, Giblet, and Abdominal Fat of Sentul Chicken AbstrackThis study aimed to determine the effect of noni fruit extract supplemented with Cu and Zn in the ration on slaughter weight, carcass, giblet, and abdominal fat of Sentul chickens. The study used one hundred DOC of Sentul chickens reared for 12 weeks at the Test Farm, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas of Padjadjaran. This study used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design and 5 treatments, namely P0 as control (basal ration/BR), P1 as positive control (BR + 50 mg/kg zinc bacitracin), P2 (BR + 125 mg/kg noni fruit extract supplemented with Cu, Zn), P3 (BR + 250 mg/kg noni fruit extract supplemented with Cu, Zn), P4 (BR + 375 mg/kg noni fruit extract supplemented with Cu, Zn).Chickens were given 5 treatments with 4 replications. Each experimental unit consisted of 5 chickens. . The study results showed that the addition of noni fruit extract supplemented with Cu and Zn in the ration up to a level of 375 mg/kg did not significantly affect the slaughter weight, carcass, giblet, and abdominal fat of Sentul chickens. Thus, it can be concluded that the addition of noni fruit extract supplemented with Cu and Zn in the ration up to a level of 375 mg/kg gave the same performance as Sentul chickens given the antibiotic bacitracin zinc.
