<p><strong><em>Abstract.</em></strong><em> </em><em>The distribution of microplastic was studied in the Muara Badak districts Kutai Kartanegara regency in May 2015. Sediment samples were taken from four stations that represent residential, in mangrove, near the beach and away from residential areas. Sediment samples were taken using the pipe at a depth of 0-10 cm - 10-20 cm, then the observed and calculated abundance of microplastic. The results showed that the type microplastic found is a fragment, film and fiber. At Station 1 found fragments about 100.2-201.3 particle/kg, the film about 69.6-79.9 particles/kg and fiber about 43.1-50.9 particles/kg, the stations 2 found of fragments about 146.5-238.8 particle/kg, the film about 53.2-81.9 particles/kg and fiber about 48.8-75.5 particles/kg, stations 3 found of fragments about 204.2-207.9 particles/kg, the film about 107.7-126.5 particle/kg and fiber about 26.1-39.9 particles/kg, station 4 found of fragments about 167.6-220 particle/kg, the film about 59.7-69.5 particle/ kg and fiber about 47.5-55.3 particles/kg. </em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><em> Depth; Microplastic; Muara Badak; Sediment </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><strong>Abstrak. </strong>Distribusi mikroplastik diteliti di Kecamatan Muara Badak Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara pada bulan Mei 2015. Sampel sedimen diambil dari 4 stasiun yang mewakili pemukiman penduduk, dekat sungai, dekat pantai dan jauh dari pemukiman penduduk. Sampel sedimen diambil menggunakan pipa paralon pada kedalaman 0-10 cm – 10-20 cm, kemudian diamati dan dihitung kelimpahan mikroplastik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jenis mikroplastik yang ditemukan adalah fragmen, film dan fiber. Pada stasiun 1 ditemukan fragmen berkisar 100,2-201,3 partikel/kg, film berkisar 69,6-79,9 partikel/kg dan fiber berkisar 43,1-50,9 partikel/kg, stasiun 2 ditemukan fragmen berkisar 146,5-238,8 partikel/kg, film berkisar 53,2-81,9 partikel/kg dan fiber berkisar 48,8-75,2 partikel/kg, stasiun 3 ditemukan fragmen berkisar 204,2-207,9 partikel/kg, film berkisar 107,7-126,5 partikel/kg dan fiber berkisar 26,1-39,9 partikel/kg, stasiun 4 ditemukan fragmen berkisar 167,6-220 partikel/kg, film berkisar 59,7-69,5partikel/kg dan fiber berkisar 47,5-55,3 partikel/kg.</p><p><strong>Kata kunci:</strong> Kedalaman; Mikroplastik; Muara Badak; Sedimen</p>
Pew Research Center reported that Islam is the fastest-growing religious group in the world compared to another religious group. The research mentioned that in 2050 Islam population will be 30% of world’s population while Christian will be silghtly more, 31% of world’s population therefore PEW Research Center predicted that in 2100 Islam population will lead religious group’s population even Christian. Terrorism news, extrimist and radical moslem group and Islamophobic culture almost in every western media platforms that rationally contradictory of reality that Islam is the fastest growing religious group. This research is to analyse terrorism issues in mass media and world’s Islam population. Research conducted in qualitative descriptive by literature research methode. The results of the research showed that despite of negative stereotypes in media who tend to correlated Islam and radical moslem group through several platforms such as movie and news, the decision to join Islam was uninfluenced. The stereotypes in news and movies about terrorism, radical moslem group, and extrimist in media could become an initial point for someone to dig information about Islam although it could not concluded as a pure motivation to join Islam.
Keberlangsungan ekosistem mangrove merupakan aspek penting karena berkaitan dengan pengurangan atau penambahan akumulasi sedimen seperti proses abrasi dan akresi. Mangrove di pesisir Tanjung Batu telah mengalami penurunan sejak 2001-2010 yang disebabkan oleh aktivitas masyarakat seperti penebangan pohon, pembukaan lahan untuk tambak dan perkebunan kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengestimasi laju akumulasi sedimen mangrove di Tanjung Batu. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Juli 2018. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada 3 stasiun meliputi identifikasi jenis mangrove, pengukuran Diameter at Breast Height (DBH) mangrove dan pengambilan sedimen corring menggunakan pipa stainless. Sampel sedimen dipotong berdasarkan interval 5 cm (kedalaman 0-15 cm), dan interval 2 cm (kedalaman 48-50 cm) yang digunakan sebagai Pb-210 supported (Stasiun 1 dan 3). Stasiun 5 dipotong dengan interval 4, 6 dan 8 cm (kedalaman 1-50 cm). Analisis sampel menggunakan alpha spektrometer dengan radioisotop Pb-210. Penentuan umur sedimen dan laju akumulasi sedimen menggunakan model Constant Rates of Supply (CRS). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa laju akumulasi sedimen selama 20 tahun terakhir (1998-2018) berkisar 0,09-0,20 g cm-2 tahun-1. Laju akumulasi tertinggi adalah Stasiun 1 yang merupakan lokasi dengan umur sedimen paling tua dan didominasi mangrove dengan DBH > 5 cm, sedangkan laju akumulasi terendah adalah Stasiun 5 yang memiliki umur sedimen paling muda dan didominasi mangrove dengan DBH < 5 cm.
The purpose of this reaserch is to know about the structure of attached Mollusca community of mangrove vegetation. The vertical observation of the Mollusca here done to the root, stem and leares of the mangrove. The result of the research showed that Gastropoda that had been found consist of 8 (eight) Family and 11(eleven) species among any different mangrove vegetation. There were 7 kind of mangrove all and in the telly process the diversity, the similarity and domination index was vused. The mumber of Mollusca of every kind of vegetation were varied.While in morisite index the distribution fattern of the attached Mollusca were absolute defferent they distribution fattrent were random. The INP value of the every kind of mangrove is defferent the range between the lowest and the highest were about 27.859 to 300.000.
