One of classroom learning success parameter is the use of appropriate learning media, which include audio visual media. Interactive and varied audio visual media can be used to stimulate student to think critically and actively. This paper aims to find out the learning result, critical thinking skills and activeness of students after utilize PowToon's audio visual learning media. Subject of this paper is UniversitasNegeri Surabaya students. This paper uses quantitative approach. The result showed that usage of the PowToon audio visual learning media was able to improve learning outcomes, critical thinking skills and student activity. However, this paper only measured the effectiveness of PowToon's audio visual learning media on a small group of students.
Self-regulated learning is an important aspect in learning, especially self-regulated learning of accounting. But in reality, students often lose their self-regulated learning when facing difficulties in their learning activities. Researcher conducted this study in order to determine and examine the influence of learning motivation, self-efficacy, and peers on self-regulated learning of accounting, either simultaneously and partially. This study was classified as causality research with quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of Accounting Education 2018-2019, State University of Surabaya, totaling 116 students. Proportional random sampling method, the researcher used as a sampling technique to obtain a sample of 90 respondents. Research data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires. Hypothesis testing was done by using multiple linear regression method. The results of this research analysis concluded: 1) Learning motivation with tcount = 7,791 > ttable = 1,988 affected self-regulated learning of accounting, 2) Self-efficacy with tcount = 2,043 > ttable = 1,988 affected self-regulated learning of accounting, 3) Peers with tcount = 3,173 > ttable = 1,988 affected self-regulated learning of accounting, 4) Learning motivation, self-efficacy, and peers with Fcount = 59,255 > Ftable = 8,558 simultaneously affected self-regulated learning of accounting.
This study aims to determine the students' perspective regarding the Information, Communication, and Techologies (ICT) usage in learning activity at Vocational Education and Training (VET). This research is quantitative descriptive research using survey techniques and group interviews. The population of this study included all VET students from various expertise programs in Surabaya, Indonesia. Samples were randomly selected using 218 students. The results showed that as many as 97.25% of students argued that the use of ICT was very useful in learning to find learning material and complete assignments. Students even have access to ICT every day at home and access ICT at school once a week during learning in a practical laboratory. VET students already have much competence in using ICT in learning that can be seen from their ability to operate Microsoft Office programs (such as: Ms. Word, Ms. Power Point, Ms. Excel) and use the internet to communicate and find learning materials. Therefore, it can be concluded that from the students' perspective that ICT is very helpful in learning activity at VET. Students also feel that the use of ICT today is a demand that must be mastered to be able to compete in the world of work.
The development of investment in Indonesia has increased during the post-Covid 19 economic recovery period. The public is realizing the importance of investing and the benefits, including students are also aware of this. The factors that encourage students to invest are investment knowledge, financial behavior, and investment motivation. This study aim's to investigate the effect of investment motivation as a moderator of the influence of investment knowledge and finance behavior. The population used is 2015-2019 accounting education students who are still students with a total of 145 students. The sample used in the study was determined by the solving formula. While the sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection was carried out online in the form of a questionnaire in the form of a Google form. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods then hypothesis testing was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis and moderation regression analyst the application used was SPSS version 26. Obtained from the results of the analysis of investment knowledge and financial behavior were able to produce a positive and significant influence on investment interest. Then investment motivation can moderate the effect of investment knowledge on investment interest.
