ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kehidupan calabai dan bissu, serta pandangan masyarakatnya yang tergambar dalam novel Calabai karya Pepi Al-Bayqunie. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisis data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu tahap klasifikasi data, analisis data, dan penyimpulan hasil analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa calabai dan bissu merupakan variasi gender selain laki-laki dan perempuan dalam kebudayaan Bugis sebagaimana tergambar dalam novel Calabai karya Pepi Al-Bayqunie. Calabai yang digambarkan pengarang dalam novel merupakan calabai yang memiliki keistimewaan dan akhirnya ia menjadi seorang bissu. Dalam kaitannya keberadaan calabai dan bissu yang tergambar dalam novel, ternyata ada penolakan dari kelompok yang menganggap dua variasi gender ini tidak sesuai dengan kodrat manusia. Keberadaan calabai merupakan sebuah masalah karena bertentangan dengan konstruksi sosial yang sudah ada di masyarakat. Namun, berbeda dengan calabai, keberadaan bissu dianggap lebih terhormat karena berperan penting dalam kebudayaan Bugis. ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the life of calabai and bissu, as well as the views of the people depicted in the Calabai novel by Pepi Al-Bayqunie. This research is library research with a qualitative approach. Data analysis was carried out through several stages, namely the data classification stage, data analysis, and the conclusion of the analysis results. The results of this study indicate that calabai and bissu are gender variations other than men and women in Bugis culture as illustrated in the Calabai novel by Pepi Al-Bayqunie. Calabai who was described by the author in the novel was a Calabai who had privileges and finally he became a bissu. In relation to the existence of calabai and bissu as illustrated in the novel,
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini akan menganalisis cerita rakyat Kalimantan Timur berbentuk mitos tentang burung Enggang yang diturunkan secara turun menurun oleh masyarakat Dayak Kenyah dikaitkan dengan relevansinya terhadap pengembangan karakter bangsa. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori 'lapis realitas sosial'. Teori tersebut akan mengungkap lima lapis makna yang terkandung di dalam sebuah sistem atau simbol yang terdapat dalam kebudayaan dan tradisi. Dimulai dari pemaknaan lapis makna empiris, sampai pada pemaknaan lapisan pandangan dunia (world view) pada tataran ide yang menyimpan kearifan lokal. Temuan ini akan disusun dalam bentuk rekomendasi kepada pihak-pihak tertentu, misalnya untuk penyusunan kurikulum pendidikan khususnya mata pelajaran Muatan Lokal di tingkat sekolah, dan atau untuk mata kuliah Sastra Daerah Kalimantan Timur di tingkat perguruan tinggi. ABSTRACTThis research will analyze the folklore of East Borneo in the form of myth about the hornbill descended down by Dayak Kenyah people associated with its relevance to the development of nation character. The theory used is the theory of 'layers of social reality'. The theory will reveal five layers of meaning contained in a system or symbol contained in culture and tradition. Starting from the meaning of layers of empirical meaning, to the meaning of the layer of world view at the level of ideas that store local wisdom. These findings will be formulated in the form of recommendations to specific parties, for example for the preparation of curriculum, especially local content subjects at the school level, and or for East Kalimantan Literature courses at the university level.
This research raises the topic of liberal feminism Zarah Amala, the main character in the Supernova Episode: Partikel by Dee Lestari. The purpose of this research is to describe the liberal feminist attitude of the main character and at the same time describe the impact of the life choice of the main character on the main additional character. This research is a type of library research. The discussion of liberal feminism studies uses the theory developed by Wolf (1997), namely the Feminism of Power and the theory of figures and characterizations. Zarah practices liberal feminism in the form of Power Feminism, among others: (1) observing power against women, (2) firmness in choice, (3) desire that women are not destitute, (4) tolerant, (5) women's competition, and (6) ) have strong confidence. The figures affected by the liberal feminism idea adopted by Zarah were a group of main additional figures: (1) Firas: Zarah gives loyalty so that her father does not feel alone; (2) Aisyah: Zarah made Aisyah feel depressed because of the quarrel they were maintaining; (3) Abah Hamid: Zarah is no longer considered a grandchild because of her very different views; (4) Hara: Zarah has a stake in the character of her mature and stoic sister; (5) Ibu Inga: Zarah becomes a foster mother of an orangutan. (6) Paul: Zarah makes Paul fall in love; (7) Simon: Zarah makes Simon busier than usual; (8) Koso: Zarah becomes a loyal friend; and (9) Storm: Zarah gives her virginity to Storm.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap citra perempuan dalam kumpulan puisi Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari karya Cyntha Hariadi, yang meliputi citra fisik, citra psikis, dan citra sosial perempuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif desktiptif. Data berupa kutipan-kutipan yang diduga mengandung citra perempuan. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik baca dan catat. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis pembacaan retroaktif (hermeneutik) untuk memperoleh gambaran secara mendalam mengenai persoalan yang diangkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra fisik perempuan ditemukan pada 6 puisi. Citra fisik perempuan meliputi penggambaran organ biologis perempuan saat mengalami proses kehamilan, persalinan, serta menyusui anaknya. Citra psikis perempuan ditemukan pada 17 puisi. Citra psikis perempuan meliputi penggambaran perempuan yang mengalami keadaan psikis seperti merasa sedih, cemas, takut, gembira dan keadaan emosional lainnya. Citra sosial perempuan ditemukan pada 6 puisi. Citra sosial perempuan meliputi penggambaran perempuan sebagai makhluk sosial serta perannya dalam keluarga dan masyarakat.This study aimed to uncover the image of women in a collection of poems Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari by Cyntha Hariadi, which includes physical images, psychological images, and social images of women. Descriptive qualitative research was used in this study. Data were quotations that allegedly contained images of women. Data collected by reading and note taking techniques. Data were analyzed by using a retroactive (hermeneutic) analysis technique to obtain an in-depth overview of the issues raised. The results showed that the physical image of women was found in 6 poems. Women’s physical image included the depiction of a biological female organ during the process of pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding her child. Women’s psychic images were found in 17 poems. Psychic image of women included sportrayals of women who experience psychological states such as feeling sad, anxious, afraid, happy and othe remotional states. Women’s social image was found in 6 poems. Women’s social image included the depiction of women as social creatures and their role in the family and society.
