At the present stage, one of the key tasks of mankind is the solution of environmental problems associated with the production of industrial products. A harmonious combination of scientific and technological progress and the protection of the ecosphere can be realized through the development of a circular economy, the introduction of “green” industrial technologies, and the development of effective methods for restoring industrial areas. Within the framework of this article, environmental problems of industrial territories are considered and the main directions for their solution are proposed.

The key factor for sustainable development is the transformation of the energy sector through the growth of investments in environmentally friendly electricity. Its consumption in emerging market and developing countries will grow about three times faster than in advanced economies, and the low cost of wind and solar power should make them the preferred technologies to meet growing demand if the infrastructure and regulatory frameworks are put in place. base.
