Asas pendidikan khususnya di peringkat rendah dan menengah adalah sangat penting dalam mencorak dan membentuk generasi baharu yang seimbang dari aspek intelektual, emosi, jasmani, rohani dan sahsiah, di samping mempunyai daya pemikiran yang kreatif, kritis dan berdaya saing dalam mempersiapkan diri untuk mendepani transformasi pendidikan di peringkat pengajian tinggi dan melahirkan modal insan yang berpengetahuan dan berkemahiran tinggi serta produktif dalam menghadapi pelbagai cabaran yang mendatang di abad ke-21 selaras dengan hasrat Dasar Pendidikan Negara Walau bagaimanapun, sistem pendidikan yang dilaksanakan di negara ini mengalami perubahan drastik dan terjejas teruk apabila semua sekolah perlu ditutup sepenuhnya berikutan negara berhadapan dengan krisis penularan pandemik Covid-19 yang kini menjadi fenomena yang amat membimbangkan rakyat di seluruh dunia. Situasi ini benar-benar memberi kesan yang mendalam kepada semua pihak berkepentingan terutamanya guru-guru dan murid-murid apabila kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang dahulunya dijalankan secara bersemuka perlu diubah kepada kaedah pembelajaran dari rumah (home-based learning), di samping keperluan mematuhi Standard Operation Standard (SOP) dan mempraktikkan norma-norma baharu dalam menjalani kehidupan seharian. Kajian ini akan membuat penelitian berhubung strategi yang telah diguna pakai oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) sebagai peneraju sistem pendidikan negara dalam melaksanakan pelbagai inisiatif melalui pendekatan dan kaedah yang terbaik dalam mengatasi isu-isu dan cabaran yang timbul dalam sektor pendidikan, antaranya melaksanakan pendekatan pembelajaran dari rumah, pembatalan dan pindaan tarikh peperiksaan awam, merancang strategi pembukaan semula sekolah selepas tempoh PKP dan pindaan takwim persekolahan tahun 2020 demi memastikan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran dapat diteruskan dan dalam masa yang sama membantu negara memerangi pandemik Covid-19 dalam tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan yang sedang dilaksanakan sehingga hari ini.
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) coronavirus or better known as Covid-19 was first detected on 17 November 2019 in Hubei province, China, and was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 11 March 2020. Until 1 November 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has spread to 215 countries worldwide where the total number of cases recorded is 45,942,902 cases and 1,192,644 deaths. In Malaysia, a total of 31,548 cases and 249 deaths were recorded. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused economic paralysis and affected the lives of communities around the world. The main objective that will be discussed in this article is the Malaysian government's approach in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic to ensure that the country's socio-economy is not affected where it could affect national security. In this article, the method of collecting information is through references in websites, e-journals, e-newspapers, and related reports. The results show that the Malaysian government has taken two main approaches in managing national security, namely through the health and economy of the people. The health approach is through efforts to curb the Covid-19 epidemic from spreading further in the country which can have a negative impact on the economy and society of Malaysians. Next, the people's economic approach implemented is through the People's Economic Stimulus Package announced by the government to help the people affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and ensure that the country's economy can be restored. This approach has succeeded in maintaining national peace as well as preventing the occurrence of things that could affect national security such as riots or demonstrations by the people due to dissatisfaction with the government.
The cosmetics industry is one of the world's fast-growing sectors. With more and more new cosmetic companies joining the market this beauty industry is booming, resulting in a highly competitive environment. Furthermore, Consumers with rapidly shifting preferences and expectations have created challenges on the market, resulting in a shorter product ’s life cycle, impasse innumerable skin care giants and novice companies. As such, to stay and retain new customers, it is important for the cosmetic companies to continually grow their business activities. In order to achieve that, cosmetic companies need to understand and satisfy their customers by creating values and meet their demands. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of brand image, perceive product price and perceived quality on intention to purchase cosmetic products. A total of 139 questionnaires were collected from consumers in the Kelang Valley who have experienced purchasing and using cosmetic products. This finding might benefit cosmetics firms and marketers to better understand important factors underlying cosmetics purchase intention among Malaysian consumers in order to better compete in the global as well as the local market.
This study measures the relationship between people-based leadership and motivation to perform using self-report questionnaires collected from the staff at a government research university in Peninsular Malaysia. The results of stepwise regression analysis confirm that participative and consultative styles were significantly correlated with motivation to perform a job. This result demonstrates that the ability of leaders to appropriately implement participative and consultative styles in performing daily job operations have increased employees’ motivation to perform a job in the studied organization. Additionally, this study offers discussion, implications, and conclusions.
The objective of this study is to examine the factors that influence consumers in making online purchasing decisions in Malaysia. The focus of this study is related to consumer attitudes, the factors that influence them to make online purchasing decisions. Researchers evaluate the criteria that can motivate consumers to make decisions when buying online. There are three independent variables studied namely, product price, quality of product information, and product reviews to obtain study data. This study was designed using quantitative methods where survey questions were distributed to a total of 122 respondents via Google Form and distributed online randomly requiring Malaysians aged between 18 and above regardless of gender, race, household income, and education someone. The data collected will be analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Overall, based on the study conducted it is undeniable that there are many consumers making online purchases compared to buying directly at business premises as technology today is growing and Internet access is also expanding and easily in line with the changing lifestyle of society busy nowadays.
