Abstrak: Persoalan ketimpangan gender tecermin dalam rendahnya keterwakilan perempuan dalam struktur lembaga legislatif, baik di tingkat Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (DPR RI), Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) RI maupun pada level Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Provinsi (DPRD Provinsi) dan Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Kabupaten/kota (DPRD Kab/Kota) di seluruh Indonesia. Terpenuhinya kuota 30% perempuan di lembaga legislatif sesuai peraturan hingga saat ini masih jauh. Kendala utama karena budaya patriarki masih dominan sehingga perempuan masih dianggap tidak memiliki kemampuan sejajar dengan kaum laki-laki, regulasi yang belum adil dan masih rendahnya kesadaran perempuan terhadap pentingnya perjuangan mewujudkan kesetaraan gender di area politik praktis. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, pengetahuan, dan kesadaran kiprah perempuan khususnya para santri Madrasah Muallimat dalam area perpolitikan di Indonesia. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa berdasar hasil pretest dan posttest diperoleh peningkatan pemahaman materi kesadaran politik kaum perempuan sebesar 22% sehingga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Selain itu, peserta Madrasah Mu’allimat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta yang semula hanya 60% memahami ilmu dasar kesadaran politik menjadi 82% memahami strategi kesadaran politik bagi kaum remaja perempuan melalui kajian regulasi kuota 30%.Abstract: The issue of gender inequality is reflected in the low representation of women in the legislative structure, both at the level of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI), the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia as well as at the level of the Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD Province) and the Regional House of Representatives. This service activity aims to increase understanding, knowledge and awareness of the role of women, especially the students of Madrasah Muallimat in the political area in Indonesia. The implementation method in the activity includes the preparation stage, the implementation stage and evaluation stage. The results of this service show that based on the results of the pretest and posttest, there is an increase in understanding of women's political awareness by 22% so that there is a significant increase. In addition, participants of Madrasah Mu'allimat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, which initially only 60% understood the basic science of political awareness, became 82% understood political awareness strategies for adolescent girls through a study of 30% quota regulations.
There are still many congregations of the Baiturrahman Mosque who do not understand well about the concept of the prohibition of usury in Islam, so that without realizing it, many of them carry out activities which in the view of Islam are classified as usury because of the lack of understanding of asset management in accordance with sharia principles. Based on the problems faced by the community at the Baiturrahman Mosque as described above, the Service Team needs to provide more understanding to the Baiturrahman mosque congregation about the dangers of usury and the importance of understanding and applying sharia-based economic concepts in everyday life. The activities that will be carried out are conducting intensive studies in the form of material exposure, studies and discussions the dangers of usury and the virtues of sharia economics. The implementation method in the activity includes the preparation stage, the implementation stage and evaluation stage. Based on the pre-test and post-test questionnaire data, participants experienced an increase in understanding of Islamic economic principles in Islamic banking by 18%. Understanding of Islamic financial institutions and conventional financial institutions has increased by 15%. Increased understanding of Interest from banks is Riba by 15.75%. understanding of the dangers of Riba increased by 18.5% and an increase in understanding of islamic financial institution products in accordance with sharia principles by 12.75%.
