Professional and personal competences of a university professor are considered not only as one of the theoretical directions of pedagogical research, but also as a factor in ensuring the quality of modern higher education. Despite the constant efforts of individual researchers and international organizations dealing with educational problems on a global scale, the composition of the unified system of professor’s competences has not been drawn up yet due to the differences in national, methodological and practical approaches. The task of assessing a university professor, determining the degree of effectiveness of his educational and research activities is no less urgent. In connection with the existing tendency in modern pedagogy to assess a professor by means of the identification of his competences, the article analyses the changes in the basic competences that occurred during the period of forced remote learning. As a result of using a number of theoretical and empirical research methods, the most popular tools and techniques for assessing the professor’s performance have been identified, the attitude of the professors to the use of these methods and the objectivity of experts has been demonstrated. The directions of modernization of methods, which can be used to assess the work of university professors on the basis of modern electronic technologies in the context of digitalization of education are outlined.
In this article the questions connected with possibility of use of the comic book as the didactic text combining verbal components and a graphic representation for formation of anti-terrorist world outlook installations of the studying youth are considered. It is shown that in modern educational process art means of the graphic short story can be effectively used. On the basis of experiment it is proved that the comic book is successful language for conversation with youth on complex problems of youth extremism and radicalism. Development of adventurous plots of comics draws attention of youth and it's the accelerator of process of sense generation. The comic books make the readers think, reflect, analyze the cultural differences, look for ways of their overcoming and finally, think about importance of development of civil ideology, strengthening multicultural and multiconfessional society of the European countries.
Abstract. Federal State Educational Standards for Higher Education of the third generation are aimed at achieving harmonization between the needs of modern production and the tasks set by higher educational institutions for the training of highly qualified specialists. The paper discusses the need to find and apply new, interactive teaching methods and technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions. To solve practical problems or problems in the process of teaching foreign languages, a project methodology is proposed that promotes an independent acquisition of knowledge and their integration from various subject areas. Lapbook technology as one of many design techniques appeals to the creative activity of students personality. The main provisions of this technology are analyzed as a means of complex development of all types of speech activity in academic and professional interaction with students of a technical university in a foreign language. Characteristics (goal, tasks, developed competencies), basic parameters of students activities are described, an approximate structure for the development of subject and meta-subject skills at the stages of the lesson is developed. The development and application of training sessions using Lapbook technology in the framework of teaching a foreign language in higher educational institutions will undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of the tasks set by the new Federal State Educational Standards for Higher Education.
