The crystal structure of suberic acid was determined by means of electron-density projections on the (001) and (010) planes. The crystal is monoclinic with unit-cell dimensions: a=8.98, b=5.06, c=10.12/~; fl=97 ° 50'.The space group is P21/c with two molecules in the unit cell. The structure was refined by the least-squares method on an IBM 1620 computer.
