The copper-catalysed oxidative coupling of amines and H-phosphonates to produce phosphoramidates has been achieved using CuI as the catalyst and O2 (present in air) as the sole oxidant.
Three characteristic glycolipids were identified in extracts of 10 representative strains of Mycobacterium fortuitum. The two most polar major lipids were shown to be antigens with strong reactions against homologous antiserum and sera raised against Mycobacterium tuberculosisH37Rv. Both of these lipids were shown to be acyl trehaloses, containing substantial amounts of 2‐methyloctadec‐2‐enoic acid in addition to straight‐chain and monounsaturated acids. These lipids correspond to ‘mycoside F’, lipids previously identified by infra‐red spectroscopy in extracts of Myco. fortuitum.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
