Synthesis and properties of 2-cyclohexylcarbonyl-1,3,4,6,7,11b-hexahydro-2H-pyrazino [2,1-a] isoquinolin-4-one, a novel anthelmintic with excellent activity against all species of Schistosomes pathogenic to man and a wide range of cestodes, will be reported.

1,4,7-cyclodecatrienen ( I ) umsetzen. Analoge Reaktionen, wie wir sie fur das 4,5-Dimeth~l-cis,cis,rrans-l ,4,7-cyclodecatrien beschrieben haben [3J, fiihren von ( I ) und verwandten Verbindungen aus in guten Ausbeuten zu groBen Ringen.

1,2‐Di(bromomethyl)benzene (I) is coupled with the anilines (II) to produce the N‐arylisoindolenines (III) as the main products, together with minor amounts of the dimers (IV).
