The present article has as objective to analise the role that reading plays in a model of society that try adopting,through a revolution organized by hierarchical relationships, in a cooperative concept, but that end being dominated by individual interests of “some more equal than others”. This is the analysis of the masterpiece Animal farmby english writer, Eric Arthur Blair, with the pseudonym, George Orwell. For such discussions, we based on the works of Michel Foucault (2010), Manguel (2004), Petit (2013), Piglia (2006) and Rouxel et al (2013).
ResumoA utilização da internet já está estabelecida em boa parte dos lares e surge como ferramenta de ensino em muitas escolas brasileiras. No momento atual de pandemia da Covid-19, a rede on-line é utilizada enquanto alternativa para o ensino não presencial nas escolas públicas. O presente artigo que surgiu de uma pesquisa qualitativa pretende apresentar uma alternativa de ensino de língua inglesa que, por meio da metodologia de sala de aula invertida, utilizou-se de ferramentas de estudo de Inglês oferecidas pela internet como jogos, vídeos e outros, trazendo como resultado relatos de estudantes da segunda série de ensino médio de uma escola pública federal da cidade de Araguatins-TO que tiveram a possibilidade de estudar assuntos mais voltados à utilização das quatro habilidades para o ensino/aprendizagem de idiomas de forma autodidata, com o professor disponibilizando explicações para os assuntos escolhidos pelos estudantes.

AbstractThe use of internet is already established in most homes and appear as teaching tool in brasilian schools. At the current time of Covid-19 pandemic, the on-line net is use as alternative for off-site teaching in public schools. The present article that emerged of a qualitative research intends to show an alternative of teaching of English Language that, through a methodology of flipped classroom, used tools of teaching of English offered by internet like games, vídeos and others, bringing as result students reports of second grade high school of a federal public school from the city of Araguatins-TO that had a possibility of study subjects more focused for the use of four teaching/learning skills of idioms as self-taught, with the teacher providing explanations for the sunjects choosed by students.
