In 2013, Southeast Asian countries have to face a disastrous haze pollution coming from Indonesia. Transboundary Haze Pollution (THP) is a deadly occurrences that repeats annually. As a result, Indonesia’s neighboring countries must encounter disadvantageous consequences. One of the countries gradually affected is Singapore, since they have been through haze pollution since the late 1980’s. Various attempts have been made by Singapore to mitigate the disaster. Since bilateral and regional efforts do not give any solution, Singapore then implies public diplomacy efforts. The practices of these public diplomacy could be seen from the involvement of one of the nation’s influential NGOs, the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA). As a result, they are able to pressure Indonesia in applying a more comprehensive map for haze tracker. Therefore, this study expects to invite readers’ interest in the issue of NGO, precisely in International Relations and Public Diplomacy. This study will specifically discuss the practice of SIIA as public diplomacy efforts to resolve the THP issue from 2012 until 2016.

Durian seed, a waste of durian fruit processing, had been studied as a new substrate in the solid-state fermentation with Monascus purpureus. Moreover, the fermentation product namely Monascus-fermented Durian Seed (MFDS) potent to reduce blood cholesterol and glucose levels in human body. However, water extract of the MFDS has a pale redcolor and unpleasant flavor. Therefore, roselle extract was used in the MFDS jelly drink formulation. The objective of this research was to study the effect of various concentration of roselle extract on physicochemical and organoleptic properties of the MFDS jelly drink. The concentration of roselle extract used in this research were 12.5%, 15%, 17.5%, 20%, 22.5%, and 25% of the total liquid. The results showed that the various roselle extract concentration affected significantly on the physicochemical and organoleptic properties of MFDS jelly drink. The higher concentration of roselle extract at 20%-25%, caused the decrease of pH and syneresis, and the increase of suction power. Based on the sensory evaluation, addition of roselle extract at 15% resulted the best organoleptic properties with preference scores of flavor, color and mouthfeel of 5.70, 5.58, and 4.35, respectively. Physicochemical properties of the MFDS jelly drink were pH of 3.02, suction power of 6.3 mL/20 sec, 1.975% syneresis level, lightness value of 42, redness value of 60.6, yellowness value of 48.7, chroma value of 77.7, and hue value of 39.
This study aims to explore the effect of Supervisor Support (SS), Work-Life Balance (WLB), Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance moderated by age, gender, education, and marital status on IT employees. Refer to the theory and empirical evidence from previous research, we collect the data by distributing online questionnaires from November to December 2020 at some IT sector companies in the cities of Tangerang and Jakarta. The respondents are IT employees who were selected by purposive sampling method with the category non-managerial level. This study uses the PLS-SEM method. The results prove that SS, WLB, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment all have positive effects on IT employee performance. While the moderation results in this study as a whole there are no significant differences between groups of age, gender, education, and marital status with the effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on IT employee performance. The important managerial implications for the companies to improve the performance of IT employees are by changing the company's internal culture to be more open, creating or strengthening the warm and ‘kinship’ work environment, and organize a routine togetherness program. This will encourage positive changes for employees and be a benefit for the company. This study aims in analyzing the linear relationship between government ownership and company performance in open non-financial State-Owned Enterprises in Indonesia in 2009-2018 The independent variable in this study uses the percentage of government ownership and the dependent variable used are company performance with proxy profitability (Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Return on Sales) and market performance (Tobin's Q). The independent variable and the dependent variable in the study are supported by two control variables, namely the size of the company and the growth rate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). . A significant negative relationship between government ownership and company performance indicates that the government's ability is still not optimal in overseeing the company's operational activities and the objectives of the State-Owned Enterprises focusing on the welfare of a group or the company itselves.
