Resumo: O estudo objetivou identificar quais os municípios adotaram, no contexto da política pública de transporte público coletivo de passageiros a medida de segregação das mulheres em vagões exclusivos no metrô, como forma de as proteger das diversas modalidades de violência que estão submetidas neste meio de transporte. O método de pesquisa adotado foi o dedutivo com abordagem qualitativa, feita por intermédio da análise de conteúdo de dados secundários. A amostra da pesquisa restringiu-se aos municípios brasileiros com mais de 500.000 habitantes e que possuem metrô.Palavras-chave: Políticas Públicas; Políticas Sociais; Transporte coletivo de passageiros; Gênero; Serviço Público.
