Ethnomathematics study of islands indigenous peoples in Maluku Province, Indonesia. Objectives: The aim of this study was implementation of a mathematics study in learning related to island communities' context in Maluku. Methods: This study used methods of exploration, documentation and literature study. Findings: Many local communities in the Maluku did not realize that all selling activities, handicraft, or woven are included in mathematics in the form of fractions or geometry. Conclusion: This study concluded that the activities of selling, weaving and crafting in the community display fraction and geometry patterns
This Learning is essentially a process of interaction between students and their environment, resulting in changes in behavior for the better. The results of observations that have been made at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon in history subjects, it is known that cognitive learning outcomes in students are still low, ie almost 80% of students get scores below 60. One of the learning models that is able to train students in overcoming problems This is done by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of the PBL learning model on the learning outcomes of history at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon and to analyze the effectiveness of the use of the PBL learning model in improving the learning outcomes of history at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon. This type of research is a pure experiment using a pretest-posttest group design. The samples in this study were students in class X-B as the experimental class and class X-C as the comparison class. The results of data analysis in this study concluded that: (1) the PBL learning model affected the learning outcomes of history at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon; and (2) the PBL learning model is effective in improving history learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon.
Value clarification technique (VCT) and teaching and contextual learning (CTL) are learning models that are rarely compared in history learning. Hence, the purpose of this study was to find: i) The differences in student learning outcomes using the VCT model and the CTL learning model; ii) Differences in student learning outcomes between the use of the VCT learning model and CTL learning model for students who have high learning motivation; iii) Differences in learning outcomes between the use of VCT and CTL learning models for students who have low learning motivation; and iv) The interaction effect between the use of learning models and students' learning motivation on learning outcomes. This study employed a quasi-experimental quantitative approach with a 2×2 factorial design. The data analysis technique used a two-way analysis of variance at a significance level (α) of 0.05. The population in this study was all students of class X of social science (IPS). The study's research showed that: i) There were significant differences in learning outcomes between students who used the VCT and CTL learning models; ii) There were differences in learning outcomes between the used of the VCT and CTL learning models for students who have high learning motivation; iii) There were differences in learning outcomes between the used of the VCT and CTL learning models for students who have low learning motivation; and iv) The used of the VCT and CTL learning models for students with high learning motivation was associated with better learning outcomes.
The social environment is a combination of individuals and groups that always display different activities and characters. Many things are always displayed in the community, but only pass by. This research aims to see the existence of the social environment around students to support the IPS learning process. Because the field of study IPS is an integrated subject consisting of several studies, namely history, geography, economics, and to. The research method used in this research is library research. With data sources of books, journals, and articles that have relevance to the topic under study. With research techniques, first, the selection of topics based on problem identification; second, exploration of information, looking for sources; third, determination of the focus of research based on information; fourth, data sources, in the form of information or data from books, journals, articles; Fifth, read sources, read and study sources critically to achieve maximum results. sixth, make research notes, which is arguably the most important stage and may also be the culmination of the entire series of research; seventh, the researcher makes notes related to the source that has been read to be processed/analyzed to obtain conclusions; Eighth, the researcher compiled the final report. The results showed that the use of the community environment as a learning resource is very relevant in IPS subjects. Because the community environment is always related to historical, socio-cultural, economic, and geographical issues.
