The characteristics of microstrip patch antennas on uniaxial anisotropic substrates are presented. The analysis was developed in the Fourier domain, by using a combination of the Hertz vector potentials and Galerkin method, to determine the resonant fiequency and the Q factor. The radiation pattem is obtained by using the phase stationary condition. In the anisotropic material, the optical axis orientation is considered to be along the microstrip main axes. For particular cases, the results are in agreement with those available in the literature. 0-78034165-1/97/$10.00 0 1997 IEEE.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
