A three-dimensional mathematical model is developed to describe the influence of AGD beams on gas distribution in COREX-3000 shaft furnace. The calculated result shows that with AGD beams installed, the pressure drop in furnace is decreased while the volume of low velocity zone at bottom of furnace is enlarged. AGD channels can lead reduction gas into shaft center, and increase the gas velocity at slots level, but it have little effect on gas distribution at upper part of the furnace. AGD beams are also good at restraining down pipe gas, and the volume fraction of down pipe gas declines from 9.89 % to 6.41 %, decreases about 35.2%. 2#COREX furnace with AGD beams is better at achieving uniform gas distribution.
The manufacturing engineering of bamboo fiber reinforced friction material was introduced in this paper. ANSYS was used to do adaptive meshing and establish the contact, impose constraints load and solve, then the temperature field of bamboo fiber reinforced friction material was obtained. The results showed that under the coupling effect of friction heat and pressure, Brake blocks and brake discs in the contact area showed local changes in temperature and stress characteristics. The thermal stress of coupled parts contact surface showed a inhomogeneous distribution. Contact pressure distribution and temperature distribution interact each other, the contact pressure distribution of the coupled parts affects the temperature distribution, and the local feature of temperature distribution of the coupled parts conversely affects the contact pressure distribution. It will provide an important theoretical basis for devising friction brake and selecting material of the friction pair.
In this paper, a two-dimensional hot model of melter gasifier, in which paraffin and corn are used to simulate DRI, coke and lump coal respectively, has been established to study the regional boundary in this paper. While the whole experimental process is recorded by the high-speed camera, the image processing method is put forward to define each regional boundary. By means of this method, the boundary of raceway, cohesive zone can be obtained quantificationally.
According to the distribution of void fraction in water model of continuous casting mold, the influences of bubble size, water flow rate, and air flow rate on distribution of void fraction were studied by quasi single-phase model. The results indicated the distribution of void fraction generally showed a garlic shape. Both of the bubble diameter and the water flow rate have great influence on the distribution range of void fraction. Specifically the distribution range of void fraction increased with water flow rate and decreased with bubble diameter. And the gas flow rate has little effect on the distribution range of void fraction. The experiment results verified the authors model.
