One criticism I have is that scholars from disciplines other than linguistics could profitably have been invited to contribute to the collection, thus expanding its scope and further promoting the progress of digital discourse analysis, which needs to "become highly interdisciplinary" (p. 7). Notwithstanding the failure to explore this opportunity, the collection is highly recommended to researchers, educators, and students, and to anyone who wants to understand and analyze digital discourse in a networked world. As Caroline Tagg remarks, it is "an absolute must-read for anyone interested in the development of the field of digital discourse studies" (p. ii).
