This study aims to determine differences in student’s initial reading skills by Applying the Syllable Method aided and Spell Method by Word Card Media for Class II at SDN 024 Tarakan. The type of this research is quasi-experimental research. This research was conducted in August 2019. With a population of class II of SDN 024 Tarakan and the sample consisted of two classes, namely class II D as an experimental class and class II C as a control class. The technique in taking the sample used is Random Sampling. The research data were processed with the help of SPSS V.21 for Windows Software. The results showed that there were no differences in the results of the ability to read the beginning by applying the Syllabic Method and Spell Method Assisted Media Media Card Word. The results of the Independent Sample T-teston student’s initial reading ability were obtained tcount= 0.045 at the significance level of 0.05 and df = 53, obtained ttable= 2.01 means tcount ≤ ttable.
This research aims to determine the effect by application Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) type cooperative learning models assisted by Mind Mapping media on the critical thinking skills of Grade IV SD Citra Tarakan students. This research is a quantitative type of quasi-experimental research. This research was conducted in January-February 2020. With a population of fourth grade students at Citra Bangsa Tarakan Elementary School and the sample consisted of one class, namely class IV A which was given treatment. The technique in taking the sample used is Purposive Sampling. The research data were processed with SPSS V.21 for Windows Software. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence on the application of Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) type cooperative learning models assisted by Mind Mapping media on students' critical thinking abilities. This study shows that the correlation results obtained that the effect of the learning model is very strong with the results of the correlation coefficient of 0.888 and the coefficient of determination of 0.789 or 78.9% and the submission of the hypothesis obtained tcount of 8.638 at a significant level α = 0.05 with df = 20 obtained table of 2,085 means tcount ttable. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penerapan Pembelajaran Saintifik Terhadap Keterampilan Literasi Sains Siswa Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Dengan populasi siswa kelas III SDN 006 Tarakan dan sampel yang terdiri dari satu kelas yaitu kelas III A yang diberikan perlakuan. Teknik dalam pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan hasil korelasi pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran literasi sains berbasis saintifik terhadap keterampilan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar dengan hasil korelasi sebesar 0,644; koefisien determinasi sebesar 41,5%; dan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitungttable sebesar 4,129. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran literasi sains berbasis saintifik terhadap keterampilan literasi sains siswa Kelas III SD Negeri 006 Tarakan.
