Background: Carpal Tunel Syndrome (CTS) is the most common nerve compression. Some cases of CTS have symptoms. The most common complaint felt by patients is "Nocturnal Acroparesthesia", which is tingling pain at night. Physiotherapy measures can be taken to relieve CTS complaints, one of which is the use of Kinesiotaping. This study aims to analyze the effect of Kinesiotaping on pain reduction in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome by summarizing several previous studies with RevMan 5.3. Subject and Method: This article is a systematic and meta-analytical study. The study used the PICO model as follows. Population = Patients with Carpal Tunel Syndrome, Intervention = Kinesiotaping therapy, Comparison = No Kinesiotaping therapy, and Outcome = Carpal Tunel Pain reduction. The articles used in this study were obtained from several databases including PubMed, ScienceDirect, Semantics, and Google Scholar. Articles are collected in a month. The keywords to search for the article were as follows: kinesiotaping OR "kinesio tape" OR pain OR "carpal tunnel syndrome" AND "Randomized controlled trial". The articles included in this study. Results: There are 8 articles included in the meta-analysis research.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a health problem whose incidence continues to increase. CKD causes high morbidity and mortality so that patients with CKD are required to get handlers to improve the patient's quality of life. Hemodialysis is a process of filtering or cleaning blood through a semi-permeable membrane which is performed on patients with impaired kidney function, both chronic and acute. While the patient is undergoing hemodialysis, there are complications experienced by the patient, one of which is insomnia. The aims to determine the relationship between length of time undergoing hemodialysis and insomnia in CKD patients at North Lombok District Hospital in January-June 2022. Research using cross sectional study design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with data collection using a questionnaire with a total sample of 37 people. The results of the spermaman rank analysis obtained a p value of 0.005 (p <0.05), meaning that there was a relationship between the length of time undergoing hemodialysis and insomnia in CKD patients in North Lombok Regency in some patients undergoing hemodialysis for > 6 months (75.7%) and experiencing severe insomnia by 51.4%.
Background :The hemodynamic relationship between the heart and the kidneys is closely related. Cardiorenal syndrome in general can be defined as a condition of pathophysiological disorders of the heart and kidneys, in which acute or chronic dysfunction of one organ results in acute or chronic dysfunction of other organs.. The cardiorenal syndrome proceeds like an interconnected loop where heart failure can exacerbate chronic kidney failure and vice versa. Method :Research design analytic observational with cross sectional approach with the population is Chronic Kidney Failure (CKD) patients undergoing Hemodialysis (HD) program at North Lombok Hospital. Aim :The purpose of this study was to see if there was a relationship between the duration of hemodialysis in CKD patients and the incidence of congestive heart failure (CHD).Results : Statistical test results using Spearmen Test shows that from a total sample of 51 people, the correlation coefficient rof 0.446 and the value of Sig (p) = 0.001 (p <0.05). Based on these results, it can be concluded statistically that there is a significant relationship between the length of HD and the degree of HF based on the New York Heart Association (NYHA). Conclusion :There is a statistically significant relationship between the duration of HD and the degree of CHD based on the NYHA. The relationship is positive, which means that the longer the duration of HD, the higher the degree of NYHA in patients with CHD.
ABSTRACTBackground: Asthma is one of the main problems in both developed and developing countries. In 2017 the prevalence of asthma incidence in various countries was around 1-18% and an estimated 300 million people in the world suffer from asthma according to the Global Initiatif for Astma (GINA). The asthma incidence influenced by many factors. These factors include age, sex, active and passive smoker, genetics, body mass index (BMI). Decreased lung function can be caused by excess BMI and low BMI which increases the asthma insidence. Body Mass Index (BMI) is one of the factors of host that caused asthma can be modified because they were reversible. A person with an over-weight-obesity and underweight BMI tends was have changes in the body's systems that worsen asthma so that becomes uncontrollable. Purpose: Knowing the correlation between body mass index and control status of asthma patients at RSUD Kota Mataram in 2019. Methods: This reseacrh was an observational analytic study, with a cross sectional design. The data source used in this study is secondary data from the medical records of asthma patients who was undergoing outpatient care at the Mataram City Hospital 2019. Data was collected from 118 samples. Data analysis used rank spearman. Results There is a correlation between Body Mass Index and the control status of asthma patients at Mataram City Hospital in 2019. Key Words: Asthma, body mass index, asthma control status.Key Words: body mass index, control status, asthma.
COVID-19 is a respiratory infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 and has been designated a pandemic by the WHO. Health workers are at the forefront of dealing directly with patients to handle confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 so that they are at high risk for infection. Infection prevention behavior is one of the main problems causing infection in health workers. This study aims to determine the relationship between predisposing factors, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors with infection prevention behavior on health workers and non-health workers at the Pengadang Health Center. This study used an observational analytic design, with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used total sampling.
