During our careful examination of specimens in herbaria and during a field survey for the revision of the Papilionoideae for the Flora of Thailand project, we discovered two new records for Thailand, Uraria balansae Schindl. from Narathiwat province and U. barbaticaulis Iokawa, T.Nemoto, J.Murata & H.Ohashi from Tak. Moreover, a species of Uraria recently described for Thailand, U. pseudoacuminata W.Tokaew & Chantar. (Tokaew& Chantaranothai, 2013), was also found in Khánh Hòa, Vietnam; this extension of the distribution of the species is reported here.

Two species of Gaertnera in Thailand, viz. G. junghuhniana and G. sralensis, are enumerated and described. A lectotype is designated for G. taiensis, a synonym of G. junghuhniana. A key to species and data on distribution, habit and phenology are also provided.

Fimbristylis Vahl is a large genus of Cyperaceae belonging to tribe Abildgaardieae. The genus comprises about 382 species worldwide (Govaerts et al., 2019) and is distributed mainly in the tropical and subtropics, with the greatest number in Southeast Asia and Northeastern Australia. It consists of annual and perennial plants. There are 63 species of Fimbristylis in Thailand, of which three are recently reported

Scleria aureovillosa Kiaosanthie & K.Wangwasit, a new species of Cyperaceae from NorthEastern Thailand, is described and illustrated. It is closely related to S. benthamii C.B.Clarke but differs in the leaf and culm surfaces, culm shape, the absence of wings at the leaf sheath, contraligule features, nutlet morphology and micromorphology, and leaf and culm anatomy. An emended section of the key to the species in the Flora of Thailand account of Scleria is provided.
