Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae was isolated from the blood and aortic semilunar valves of two dogs. The clinical, laboratory and patho‐anatomical findings were similar to those found in endocarditis caused by other bacteria. The pathogenicity of Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae is discussed.
