The paper discusses the problems of assessing the implementation of strategies for the development of Russia's macroregions and proposes a scheme for studying the implementation of these strategies for the development of Russian regions in a down economy. The North Caucasian Federal District was chosen as the object of the study. The calculations are based on the official publications of the Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia. The shortcomings and other problems in assessing the implementation of the strategies for the macroregions' development is also analyzed.
The article provides a sociological analysis of traditional and innovative elements in the family sphere of the modern institutional space of the South Russian society. According to the results of our study, it was concluded that there is a negative attitude towards the institution of polygamy in the public consciousness of respondents. Moreover, there can be noted significant differences by gender: men, compared to women, are more positive about the institution of polygamy, despite the presence of negative assessments of this phenomenon.
The image of the sociocultural and spiritual identity of Russia poses a task for modern society to preserve and transmit to future generations the existing unique type of morality and spirituality. This circumstance prompts the authors of the article to address the problem of educational inequality, which can lead to crises and threats that affect the process of spiritual and moral development of a person. To the authors opinion, social barriers that limit access to education include: the influence of the family and close circle; financial instability; commercialization of education; dividing students into groups, which are formed depending on their academic performance or the financial condition of the student; regional and territorial factors; family value attitude to education; student access to learning resources. The search for mechanisms to eliminate educational inequality leads the authors to the idea that overcoming the indicated barriers will be possible as a result of a deep reform of the entire social system.
The study of demographic processes in Russian society involves socio-demographic forecasts. The article pays attention to the theoretical understanding of the category "demographic projection", it describes four classifications of demographic projections; It presents a practical synthesis of the currently existing socio-demographic forecasts for the Russian society in the medium term. The demographic situation in Russia is assessed as critical because Russian society has to recognize the fact of the birth crisis. The article discusses the causes of the Russian demographic crisis, presents statistical data on demographic indicators of births and deaths, and describes three groups of scenarios for medium-term demographic forecasting.
