The article describes six ichthyosaur vertebrae from the Middle Volgian substage of the Upper Jurassic of the Middle Volga region (Tatarstan). The assignment of the new find to the recently described species Kazakhstanosaurus efimovi Akhmedenov et Yakupova from coeval deposits of the Ulyanovsk region (Gorodishche section) is based on the similar structure of the cervical and caudal vertebrae, the ratio of the sizes of the vertebrae and costal facets.
