Interface equilibriaInterface equilibria G 6000Reversible Hydrogen Decomposition of KAlH 4 . -As revealed by temperature-programmed desorption measurements, the title compound exhibits a rapid reversible hydrogen decomposition reaction without any aid of external catalysts. Reversible hydrogenation/dehydrogenation is clearly observed over the temperature range 250-340°C under < 10 bar H2. The hydrogen storage ability is above 3.5 wt% (81.4% of the theoretical value). KAlH 4 may successfully compete with a lightweight but high-temperature metal hydride system such as Mg2NiH4. -(MORIOKA*, H.; KAKIZAKI, K.; CHUNG, S.-C.; YAMADA, A.; J.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
