This is a descriptive analysis research. The data examined were the conditions of visual dan functional of the content of an interface (GUI, graphical user interface) of the state university websites of former IKIP: UPI, UNY, UNNES, UNESA, and UM. Five of these universities, in the rank period of January -June 2014 by webometrics and 4ICU, were the top 20 in national level. The website UNIDK-SHA was used in the comparative analysis of the materials for the input concerning the condition of UNDIKSHA website. The comparison result will be used in developing the material of Visual Communication Design course.The result of the research showed that the interface of the six universities websites had interesting view for visitors. The menus and sub menus are provided on page interfaces, all have links to the respective faculty sub web, web journals and the database of scientific work of the lecturers. In line with one of rank patterns of Webometrics and 4ICU, it seems that the spatial information of scientific report (e.g. research results, scientific articles, and the dissemination of scientific results) still had less attention from some web managers as the objects of the study. The service provided and direct download pattern set at any information that is accessed by a visitor was regarded unsatisfying to visitors, as well as the information provided was likely incomplete. Data yang diteliti berupa kondisi visual dan fungsional isi antarmuka (Graphical User Interface) website Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN) eks IKIP, di antaranya adalah: website UPI, UNY, UNNES, UNESA, dan UM. Lima PTN pada periode perangkingan Januari-Juni 2014 oleh Webometrics dan 4ICU, berada pada peringkat 20 besar tingkat Nasional. website Undiksha dijadikan bahan analisis pembanding dimaksudkan untuk menetapkan masukan terkait dengan kondisi website Undiksha. Hasil pembandingan akan menjadi bahan pengembangan materi ajar mata kuliah Desain Komunikasi Visual.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interface website keenam perguruan tinggi eks IKIP memiliki tampilan yang cukup menarik bagi pengunjung. Menu dan sub menu yang disediakan di halaman interface, semua dilengkapi dengan links ke masing-masing sub-web fakultas, jurnal, dan database karya ilmiah dosen. Sejalan dengan salah satu pola perankingan yang ditetapkan Webometrics dan 4ICU, tampaknya agihan (membagi, memberi) informasi ilmiah, seperti: laporan hasil penelitian, artikel ilmiah, dan diseminasi hasil temuan ilmiah, masih kurang mendapat perhatian beberapa pengelola website sasaran penelitian ini. Cara layanan yang disediakan, pola unduhan langsung pada setiap informasi yang ingin diakses kurang memuaskan pengguna. Begitupun informasi yang disediakan cenderung masih belum lengkap.Kata kunci: antarmuka, website, Desain Komunikasi Visual.
AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran Artsteps terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa dalam berkarya, pengaruh minat penerapan teknologi online terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa dalam berkarya, serta pengaruh pembelajaran Artsteps dan minat penerapan teknologi pameran online secara bersama-sama terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa dalam berkarya. Metode penelitian menggunakan survei dengan pendekatan ex post facto atau penelitian kausal komparatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Data menggunakan data primer hasil pembelajaran Artsteps di tahun 2020. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa D-III Desain Komunikasi Visual Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha angkatan 2018, 2019, dan 2020 dengan sampel berjumlah 54 mahasiswa. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi berganda berbantuan program IBM SPSS Statistics 24. Hasil penelitian yaitu: pembelajaran Artsteps secara parsial tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa; minat penerapan teknologi pameran online secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa; serta pembelajaran Artsteps dan minat penerapan teknologi pameran online secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa dalam berkarya. AbstractThis research aimed to analyze Artsteps’ effect on student satisfaction in work, the effect of interest in online technology application on student satisfaction, and the influence of Artsteps learning and interest in exhibition technology application on student satisfaction. This was survey research with an ex-post facto approach or comparative causal research. Data were collected by using questionnaires and documentation. The data used primary data on Artsteps learning outcomes in 2020. The research subjects were D-III Visual Communication Design students of Ganesha University of Education batch 2018 - 2020 with a sample of 54 students. The sampling technique used was purposive. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis programs assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics 24. The results showed: Artsteps learning partially had no effect on student satisfaction; interest in online exhibition technology application partially affects student satisfaction; and Artsteps learning and interest in online exhibition technology application simultaneously together affect student satisfaction in work.
Jinengdalem Village is one of the villages producing songket weaving crafts mainly with raw materials of silk thread besides gold thread. The limitation of the craftsmen in producing songket is because it is done by consumer orders, and there is no unified business in a joint business group of songket artisans. The community service activities of the IbM also increase songket production with the effective use of cag-cag looms as traditional tools which until now have not been able to be replaced as songket producers because of the anatomical guidelines of the craftsman's body at work and can produce songket cloth with good quality. Community service activities include the establishment of KUBE as the basis for the formation of songket cooperatives, the development of North Bali typical songket designs, the natural coloring of plant material from flowers, fruit, roots and plant skins and the effective use of traditional cag-cag tools. Through the method of socialization, training and mentoring of the Jinketdalem village songket craftsmen, targets and outcomes were produced: the formation of KUBE, natural dyeing silk threads as the base material of songket, songket productivity with cag-cag looms and more diversified motif designs in accordance with North Bali (Buleleng).
Bobo Magazine is one of children's magazine which is still exsisted from 1974 until now. Their cover has its own uniqueness. This research was aimed at identifying visual layout of Bobo Magazine, finding the quality of element's design and visuals elements. The research method is qualitative approach which are collected from observation results, documentation and library research. The object of research was Bobo's magazine cover of April edition, 2016.The data analysis used to analyze visualization quality was the theory of Tom Lincy about five principal design on printed works, such as proportion, balance, contrast, rhyme, and unity. From the visual data analysis it was found that layout composition from illustration, texts/letter, and colour on cover has applied the principles of unity, balance, rhyme, contrast and proportion. The visual's fascination is unique, different from others, because it was supported by the use of Bobo's family characters as icons, the use of bright pastel colours, the use of exact San Serif letters and dynamic layout of objects. ABSTRAKMajalah Bobo adalah salah satu majalah anak-anak yang hingga kini masih tetap eksis sejak tahun 1974. Sampul mukanya mempunyai daya tarik tersendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tampilan visual majalah Bobo, menemukan kualitas penerapan prinsip-prinsip desain pada unsur-unsur visualnya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan data yang dikumpulkan dari hasil observasi, dokumentasi, dan kepustakaan. Obyek penelitian ini adalah sampul muka majalah Bobo edisi bulan April 2016. Analisis data yang digunakan untuk menganalisis kualitas visualisasinya adalah teori desain Tom Lincy tentang lima prinsip desain pada karya cetak yaitu proporsi, keseimbangan, kontras, irama, dan kesatuan. Dari hasil analisis data visual diperoleh bahwa komposisi layout dari ilustrasi, teks/ huruf, dan warna pada sampul muka majalah Bobo memang sudah menerapkan prinsip kesatuan (unity), keseimbangan (balance), irama (ritme), kontras, dan proporsi. Daya tarik visualnya mengandung kesan unik lain daripada yang lain karena ditunjang oleh penggunaan karakter keluarga Bobo kelinci sebagai ikonnya, penggunaan warna warni pastel yang ceria, penggunaan jenis huruf Sans Serif yang tepat dan tata letak objek yang dinamis.Kata kunci: sampul majalah, kualitas visual, prinsip-prinsip desain.
