<span>This study aimed to analyze the relationship between understanding Indonesian history, multiculturalism, and historical awareness with the nationalist attitudes of state high school students in Yogyakarta. This type of research was correlational research with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 126 students. Data collection used tests and questionnaires. The test was used to reveal data about understanding of Indonesian history and multiculturalism, while the questionnaire was used for revealing students’ historical awareness and nationalistic attitudes. The validity of the instrument used a biserial point correlation test and a reliability test with the KR-20 formula. The data then were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The pre-requisite analysis consisted of the normality test, linearity test and multicollinearity test. The hypothesis testing used Product Moment Correlation, multiple correlation, relative contribution, and effective contribution. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between understanding of Indonesian history, multiculturalism, and historical awareness with students' nationalism. History learning will be much more meaningful if these four concepts are used as the objectives of history learning.</span>
Merebaknya pandemi COVID-19 di seluruh dunia khususnya Indonesia memberikan dampak besar terhadap berbagai aktivitas manusia, tak terkecuali aktivitas pendidikan dan kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Pembelajaran secara tatap muka di sekolah dihentikan sementara sejak bulan Maret 2020 hingga waktu yang belum dapat ditentukan. Kejadian pandemi terbesar yang dialami umat manusia pada perempat awal abad-21 ini, tentu akan menjadi catatan sejarah baru. Peristiwa besar yang sedang terjadi ini dapat menjadi bahan pembelajaran sejarah yang kontekstual bagi pendidik dan peserta didik di sekolah menengah. Sehingga kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peluang pemanfaatan situasi pandemi COVID-19 sebagai materi pembelajaran sejarah kontekstual. Hasil kajian mengetengahkan bahwa dalam kontekstualisasi ini perlu memperhatikan tahap penyusunan rencana pembelajaran, pengembangan materi pembelajaran, kegiatan belajar berbasis portofolio, dan penilaian otentik. Kontekstualisasi pandemi COVID-19 dalam pembelajaran sejarah ini dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir historis peserta didik, mencari-temukan signifikansi historis, dan menumbuhkan empati historis. Selain itu kontekstualisasi ini adalah sebagai bentuk implementasi pembelajaran sejarah yang adaptif dan responsif terhadap situasi, berorientasi pada nilai, dan melatih kreativitas pemanfaatan berbagai sumber dan media pembelajaran bagi pendidik dan peserta didik.
<span>The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the <em>sorogan </em>method in history learning to improve students' historical understanding and historical awareness. The research method used a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design, and the sampling technique used a cluster sampling with a sample size of 96 students. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and tests of historical understanding and awareness. Meanwhile, data analysis to determine the effect and differences of the <em>sorogan</em> method to increase understanding and historical awareness using the independent sample t-test and N-gain score test. The results showed that there were a significant influence and difference between the two groups, namely the experimental and control classes based on the results of the independent sample t-test, the hypothesis H0 was rejected with a significance value of 0.000<0.05, further strengthened by the results of the N-gain score test which was included in the criteria low and medium. This means that there is an influence and increase from the implementation of the <em>sorogan</em> method on historical understanding and awareness and getting a positive response from teachers and students, because the <em>sorogan</em> method is student-centered, and the teacher acts as tutorship/mentorship.</span>
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pemahaman sejarah dengan kesadaran sejarah mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian expostfacto dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah, FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik disproportionate random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes pemahaman sejarah dan angket sikap kesadaran sejarah. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis hubungan/korelasi, dan regresi linier sederhana dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara variabel pemahaman sejarah dengan kesadaran sejarah mahasiswa. Kata kunci: pemahaman, sejarah, kesadaran sejarah. Abstract This research aimed to analyze the relationship between students history mastery and historical conciousness. This study was an ex-postfacto research with correlational research design. The population of research was all students of History Education Study Program of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Metro MuhammadiyahUniversity. The sample was taken using disproportionate stratified random sampling. The instruments used to collect the data were test and questionnare. Techniques of analyzing data used were correlation analysis, simple regressions at significance level of 5%. The result of research showed that the hypotheses there are was a positive significant relationship between students history mastery and historical consciousness.
<p>This study aims to identify the cultural values and character of the nation in the text of the Dalung Bojong Inscription of the Sultanate of Banten in Lampung. The content analysis (content) method with a descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study. The results indicated that the Dalung Bojong Inscription contained ten cultural values and national characters, including the following: 1) Tolerance; 2) Democratic; 3) Friendly/ Communicative; 4) Peaceful; 5) Discipline; 6) National Spirit; 7) Responsibility; 8) Patriotism; 9) Social Concerns; 10) Appreciating Achievements. It is concluded that the value of Discipline is the predominating value in the inscription text's 12 articles. It is demonstrated by the text of the Dalung Bojong Inscription, which contains a set of regulations aimed at controlling, regulating, and maintaining order in the Lampung people's political, economic, and social lives.</p>
