This study intends to see how important it is to instill the values of an attitude/character education in elementary school children. The type of research used is using qualitative research. This article was written using the literature study method. This research was conducted to find out how important it is to instill character-oriented education in children in elementary schools, especially in today's children. The application of character education in elementary school children is intended to be able to form an attitude / character in children from an early age. In addition, the purpose of planting character education in elementary school children is to form a good character in elementary school children, being able to respect each other and cooperate with each other. The values that will be applied to the implementation of character education for elementary school children are religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity. The character of students who have been formed from the beginning or have been formed will greatly determine a good attitude and integrity in the nation's children in the future.
