This study was aimed at developing the valid and practical civic education textbook with problem-based approach of civic education course at Sriwijaya University and at finding out the potential effect of the textbook use with problem-based approach towards students' problem solving skill. Thus, that skill can be used by the students in the life of nation, state, and society. The subjects of this study were the students taking civic education course in odd semester of 2019-2020 academic year selected through random sampling technique. This study was a research and development research. The processes of this study were done by testing the product validity through material and language testing indicating that this textbook was valid to use. Then to maximize the study, the product was also tested through some stages, i.e. one to one, small group, and field evaluation in which the results would show that this textbook was practical to use.
The purpose of this study is to develop a documentary film media in the civics education course at Sriwijaya University, which is valid and practical so that it is expected to improve students' ability to solve problems. Thus, the knowledge and abilities obtained by students can be used in the life of the community, nation and state. The research subjects were students taking civic education courses in the odd semester 2020-2021 which were determined by random sampling technique. This research is a type of research and development. The research process was carried out by language testing which obtained 82% results with valid categories, then material testing obtained 83% results with valid categories and learning media tests obtained 91% results with valid categories. Thus it can be concluded that this learning media is valid for use. Then as a refinement the researchers conducted trials with various stages, namely one to one, the results obtained were 92% in the very good category and 78% student activity level, then the small group stage obtained 93% response results with very good categories and 76% student activity level and Field evaluation obtained a response of 90% with a very good category and a 77.2% level of activity with the conclusion that the media is practical to use. The pretest results obtained an average value of 6.63 and the posttest obtained an average value of 7.96 with an increase of 1.33 with an N gain of 0.4 with a moderate category which indicates that this media has a potential effect on improving students' ability to solve problems in Civics lectures.
Beberapa tahun sebelumnya kita menggunakan RRP 13 komponen berdasarkan Permendikbud No 22 Tahun 2016 tentang Standar Proses yang berisikan: Identitas mata pelajaran; Standar kompetensi; Kompetensi dasar; Indikator pencapaian kompetensi; Tujuan pembelajaran; Materi ajar; Alokasi waktu; Metode pembelajaran; Kegiatan pembelajaran; Penilaian hasil belajar; Sumber belajar. Sedangkan sekarang dengan adanya program merdeka belajar maka Menteri Pendidikan dan kebudayaan membuat kebijakan dengan RPP cukup 1 Lembar. Hal tersebut bertujuan untuk menyederhankan 13 komponen menjadi 3 komponen saja yang dianggap paling penting meliputi tujuan, kegiatan dan penilaian pembelajaran. Pelatihan yang dilakukan bertujuan agar guru mampu membuat RPP sesuai dengan pedoman yang ada. Pelatihan dilakukan secara daring melalui zoom meeting karena masih dalam keadaan pandemi sehingga belum bisa dilakukan secara tatap muka. Peserta berjumlah 20 orang guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) PPKn Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI). Dari hasil pelatihan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, ini ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan pada skor tes yang sebelumnya rerata 47 menjadi rerata 67 setelah pelatihan. Selain itu peserta pelatihan juga telah memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat RPP ini terlihat dari skor penilaian produk RPP dimana didapatkan rerata 93,6% dengan kategori sangat baik.
