A planar antenna with microsecond-reconfigurable polarization is described. The antenna consists of a sub-array of dual orthogonally fed elements, each rotated with respect to the other. The unique design improves circular polarization (CP) axial ratio and linear polarization (LP) performance. The antenna was fabricated and the measured results are presented, showing good LP (> 15dB) but poor CP (>0.3dB) rejection.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
