Industrial waste becomes one of the factors causing river pollution. Dye-containing wastes from this industry is one of the most difficult waste water to be repaired because the content of toxic compound.Processing for color removal of textile waste using a yeast that has the ability to decompose the carbon chain. The purpose of study is to know yeasts living in waste. The sample taken directly from the wastewater in the textile company, then analysis using YST identification (ID) card system, the results seen on panel table color change with positive or negative. The results of isolate dentification were Yarrowia (Candida) lipolytica 99,9%, Blastoschizomyces capitatus 99,87%, andCandida rugosa 79,17%.Three species have the ability for wastewater treatment.
The research aims to purify crude extracellular protease produced by Saccharomycopsis fibuligera strain R64 that isolated from tape' Indonesian fermented food. Saccharomycopsis fibuligera strain R64 was tested on Malt Extract Agar (MEA) that added 3% skim milk powder to discover the proteolytic activity. Extracellular protease purified with ammonium sulfate precipitation, dialysis and gel filtration chromatography with Sephadex G-100. Bradford method used to measure protein content, protease activity measured with Walter method and SDS-PAGE used to measure the molecule weight of protease. Results shown that isolated yeasts give 2-5 mm of clear zones on MEA that added with skim milk powder. Precipitations with 45% ammonium sulfate give the best protein content of 5.05 mg/mL and protease activity of 0.051 U/mL. After dialysis the protein content the protease activity were increased to 5.57 mg/mL and 0.0631 U/mL. Moreover, the gel filtration chromatography with sephadex G-100 yields 0.023 U/mL proteolytic activities, 2.1 mg/mL protein contents with 97.4 kD protease molecular weight.
Adulteration of meatballs using pork begins to bloom in a row with the
increase of beef price in the market. There is a risk that can occur around
the education area of Jatinangor. Therefore the identification of meatballs
adulteration with enzymes linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) approach need
to be done in order to create certainty and security guarantee of the
consumed products. Results showed that Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in
Jatinangor who process meat (meatballs) was 21 meatball traders around
Jatinangor. ELISA tests on 21 meatball samples taken from the SMEs merchant
in Jatinangor showed no pork-adulterated meatballs on all of the samples
tested.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
