Abstract. Time-integral and time-differential 7-Y directional correlation measurements were performed for cascades in 168Er populated from the electron-capture decay of 168Tm(87d). The ~68Tm source was dissolved in HF acid to minimize extranuclear perturbations. The results of the time-differential experiment for the 448-99.3 keV and 448-198 keV cascades showed agreement with time dependent interaction and gave 22 (1094)
Abstract. Electron capture decay of 175Hf(70 d) provides a possibility for unambiguous determination of the sign and magnitude of multipole mixing ratios for 89 keV and 114 keV transitions in lVSLu. This is because both gamma rays are in coincidence with the 230 keV transition which is of a pure E2 character. The results of the 7-7 directional correlation measurements, in terms of E2/M 1 mixing ratios &, are 689--0.11_ 0.07 and 5114 = 0.465 4-0.005. In addition the directional correlation measurements of the 89 7-343 7 and 319 7-114 7 cascades yield 6343 = 0.08 4-0.07 and 6319 = -0.152 _+ 0.015. Radioactivity 175Hf from lV4Hf(n, 7); measured 7-7(0) deduced 6(E2/M1); Ge(Li) detectors.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
