Learning aids are tools used by teachers in learning and prevent verbalization in students. The purpose of this research is to make simple earth telescopes as visual aids for optical practicum in schools. The method used is the experimental method, namely analyzing, designing, making and testing the props made. The subjects of the research were 17 students of physics education FKIP University of Mataram. The binoculars test saw the object of letters and writing with the font Times New Roman 350 at a distance of 50 meters and 100 meters. The results showed that the object was clearly visible with the satisfaction level of using the teaching aids a score of 3.71 the criteria were satisfied and suitable for use. The use of simple earth telescopes is suitable for use in optical practicums in schools. Teachers are expected to be able to create and develop teaching aids to improve students’ understanding of concepts.
The purpose of developing this digital calorimeter is to make a temperature measuring device using Arduino Uno that can be used for physics practicum at the Physics Laboratory of the University of Mataram. This tool is designed according to the function of the calorimeter. Calorimeter is a tool used to determine the heat capacity, specific heat capacity, and latent heat capacity of an object or material. In making this digital calorimeter, the ds18b20 sensor is used to measure the temperature of the liquid, when the sensor is inserted into the calorimeter, it will be able to read the temperature rise that occurs in it. The graph is obtained from the relationship between time (t) and heat energy (Q), it can be seen that the longer the liquid is given electrical energy, the higher the heat generated.
Secara umum pengukuran menggunakan sensor QCM minimal terdiri dari osilator, Frequency Counter, power supply, komputer dan monitor. Hasil pengukuran menggunakan QCM biasanya disajikan dalam bentuk grafik hubungan frekuensi dan waktu yang biasa disebut sebagai sensogram. Agar sistem pengukurannya menjadi lebih praktis, maka pada penelitian ini dikembangkan sebuah sistem embedded berbasiskan mikrokontroller 32-bit berbasis ARM-Cortex-M7 yang akan mengintegrasikan perangkat pencacah frekuensi berbasis CPLD XC2C512, LCD TFT Color 4.3 inch 480x272 pixel, dan microSD. Pengembangan sistem embedded ini menghasilkan sistem pengukuran frekuensi portabel yang dapat menampilkan grafik hasil pengukuran secara real time pada LCD TFT 4.3 inch dan menyimpan hasil pengukurannya pada microSD. Fungsi-fungsi ini dikembangkan di dalam STM32F746NG dengan memanfaatkan freeRTOS yang merupakan sebuah Real Time Operating System.
The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic requires that every employee in a university maintains his health. One of the most important body parts to maintain during this pandemic is body temperature. The purpose of this study was to develop a non-contact digital thermometer to measure the body temperature of FKIP employees, Mataram University. The digital thermometer development method starts from literature studies, tool specifications, hardware design, software design and thermometer testing to measure employee body temperature in the morning and afternoon. The results of the digital thermometer test showed that the employee’s body temperature in the morning with an average of 33.36 °C and in the afternoon with an average of 33.96 °C. So it can be concluded that the Mataram University FKIP employees who came to work did not experience Covid-19 symptoms.
Kegiatan penelitian, contohnya menulis karya ilmiah, di sekolah tidak pernah diproritaskan untuk dilakukan, walaupun pemerintah telah melaksanakan bermacam pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi menulis guru. Menulis karya ilmiah juga ditetapkan sebagai syarat kepangkatan bagi guru. Terkait dengan permasalahan tersebut maka kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui pemahaman guru dalam hal penulisan ilmiah, (2) Penyediaan Pembimbingan Karya Ilmiah (3) Mengetahui kompetensi penyaji terkait materi penulisan karya ilmiah. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh seluruh guru di yayasan Pondok Pesantren Darul Aminin NW Aikmual Praya Lombok Tengah. Peserta terdiri dari Guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah dan Guru Madrasah Aliyah yang berada di Yayasan PP Darul Aminin. Berdasarkan hasil kuisioner menyatakan bahwa 82% peserta menginginkan pembimbingan terstruktur, materi yang disajikan memenuhi kriteria yang dibutuhkan sebanyak 84% dan penyaji memiliki kemampuan profesional sebesar 99%. Direncanakan untuk mengadakan kelas virtual menggunakan LMS moodle UNRAM sebagai langkah tindak lanjut kegiatan ini.
