Systems of waste management in Padangsidimpuan City is an open dumping system. The location of the Padangsidimpuan City landfill is carried out at the Batu Bola TPA located in Batu Bola Village which is 120 meters from the Batang Ayumi river flow. Continuous landfill in the landfill produces pollutants in the form of leachate. Leachate contains organic materials and heavy metals. Heavy metals that are often found in leachate water are Iron (Fe) cadmium (Cd) and Zinc (Zn). This research aims to know the quality of the water of the Batang Ayumi river in terms of the content of heavy metals Cd, Zn, and Fe. This research uses descriptive exploratory method by conducting a survey first. The determination of the sampling location using purposive sampling method at four stations specified. River water sampling is carried out twice, before and after rain. This research uses an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer tool. The data obtained were analyzed by comparing research data with water quality standards based on PP. No. 82 of 2001 to look at the conditions of the heavy metal pollution of Cd, Zn and Fe. The results of this study showed that the average concentration of the metal content Cd, Zn and Fe werw below the specified quality threshold, namely the concentration of metal Cd of all stations is 0.0009 mg/l, a concentration of metal Fe is 0.03 mg/l, and concentration of Zn metal is 0.0002 mg/l.
AbstractBackground: Batang Gadis River is a river that is very important as a water provider to support the survival and main economic activities of the community, namely agriculture. Along the banks of the Batang Gadis river, many community farms are found that utilize irrigation from the Batang Gadis river. The study was conducted to determine the level of pesticide pollution in the Batang Gadis Mandailing Natal river. Methods:The survey method was used in this study by taking 2 sampling point locations. Determination of sampling locations using purposive sampling method. Water, sediment and biota sampling from each study location will be analysized using a Gas Chromatograph (GC) methode. Result: The results showed that pesticide residues were only found at Station II (Muara Mais). Pesticide residues found in water, soil sediments and fish from the organophosphate group detected were diazinon, malation, and chlorphyrifos while those from the organochlorine group were aldrin, dieldrin and endosulfan. In addition to pesticide residues, fertilizer residues are also found, namely phosphate, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite and sulfide. Conclution: Pesticide residues in Batang Gadis River which were found only at the location found by agricultural areas along the river bank. Pesticide residue levels and fertilizer residues found are still below the pesticide Maximum Residue Limit (BMR). Concentrations of these organophosphate pest...
According to data from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), throughout 2012, the incidence of poisoning due to consuming food occupied the highest position, at 66.7%. One of the causes of food poisoning is the presence of food additives such as formalin, borax. At Muhammadiyah Elementary Schools 1, 2 and 3, there are a lot of street food vendors, such as; fried noodles, meatballs, sausages, snacks. This research aims to find out which snacks contain borax and formalin and to find out which snacks are safe and unsafe for children. Sampling used a simple random technique with the assumption that a lot of samples were purchased by children and were thought to contain borax and formalin, so that a sample of 15 snacks were obtained from 6 snack sellers. Then given code seller 1 until 15. In this research, the borax and formalin tests were carried out qualitatively, using test kit. The results of the research show that of the 15 samples of snacks that have been tested, there are no samples that are positive for borax and formalin. It is proven by the absence of color changes that occur in the samples of snacks that have been tested.
This study aims to develop teacher teaching materials and assess the self-efficacy of teaching on the performance of SMA/MA teachers in KecamatanSipirok. On this occasion, the teaching materials developed were in the form of science (mathematics) teacher teaching materials and self-efficacy training modules for teacher performance. This study uses the development of Borg and Gall. This study aims to determine how the development of teaching materials and training modules self-efficacy on the performance of SMA/MA teachers. The research data were collected by means of tests, questionnaires, observation and documentation. All research instruments were developed by the researchers themselves. The subjects in this study consist of 30 SMA/MA teachers in Sipirok District. This study produces teacher teaching materials and training modules for self-efficacy teaching valid and practical teacher performance, and produces effective teaching materials in improving the performance of SMA/MA teachers.
