This article dwells on the history of and current situation at the Department of the Russian Language and Speech Culture of Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (NArFU), as well as on teachers who have made a significant contribution to its formation and development. The main stages in the department’s history and its achievements are described; its work in key areas – pedagogical, research, and international – is covered.
This article provides an overview of the International Academic Conference “Philological Education in the Conditions of Interuniversity Cooperation”, which was dedicated to the issues of network cooperation between universities that carry out educational programmes in philology and linguistics. The participants presented cases of designing and implementing network educational programmes as well as emphasized the importance of the exchange of knowledge and experience for the development of forms of interaction in the field of higher education. In addition, the paper provides an analysis of modern practices of interuniversity cooperation and identifies key problems of implementing various forms and models of network cooperation.
