Bu çalışma, nakliyat sektöründeki firmaların muhasebe ve finansman sorunlarını tespit ederek söz konusu sorunlara yönelik çözüm önerileri geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek üzere, Iğdır ilinde faaliyet gösteren 50 adet nakliyat firmasıyla yüz yüze anketler gerçekleştirilmiş ve bulgular analiz edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, alacak yönetiminde çeşitli sıkıntılar yaşandığını, özkaynak yetersizliğinin önemli bir sorun olduğunu, muhasebe yöneticisinin yetkilerinin kısıtlandığını ve düşük maliyet gerekçesiyle yeterlilikleri uygun olmayan muhasebe personellerinin görevlendirildiğini ortaya koymuştur.
