Objectives: to describe the process of construction and validation of an educational booklet on care for children with gastrostomy, directed to caregivers. Methods: a methodological study developed in five stages: bibliographic survey; situational diagnosis; illustration, layout, design and text construction; expert validation and Flesch-Kincaid Readability calculation; validation with the target audience. Content Validity Index and Suitability Assessment of Materials were applied for expert analysis. Results: the Content Validity Index obtained overall score of 0.93. In the Suitability Assessment of Materials score, the booklet scored 85.2%. It presented a satisfactory readability percentage, with an overall score of 72%, and was consistent with caregivers’ assessment in the validation with the target audience, considering the explanatory technology, important and adequate. Conclusions: the developed educational booklet was considered valid for use by caregivers, thus contributing to the maintenance of best practices in care for children with gastrostomy.
Objectives: to describe the process of construction and validation of an educational booklet to promote bonding between mothers and newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Methods: methodological study developed through data collection in the literature and with the target audience; construction of the booklet; qualification of the material through validation by judges (health and communication experts/designer) and assessment by the target audience (mothers of at-risk newborns). Data were analyzed descriptively. Results: booklet content was validated, obtaining an overall Content Validity Index of 0.92. Appearance was rated “Superior” with 80% percentage. Mothers performed an assessment with 100% agreement between the items. Conclusions: the booklet was validated in all domains assessed and can be used by mothers with children hospitalized in the Neonatal Unit.
Complications and cares related to the use of the gastrostomy tube in pediatrics ABSTRACTObjective: To describe the complications and cares related to the use of the gastrostomy tube. Method: A descriptive and exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, performed with 15 mothers of gastrotomized children attended at the Specialized Service in Wounds, Stomas and Incontinence. To obtain the data, it was used an interview with semi-structured script composed by the participants identifi cation and two guiding questions. For the analysis, the thematic type content analysis technique was used. Results: The most frequent complications were accidental tube outlet, hyperemia, granuloma, gastric residue leakage, balloon rupture and ostium enlargement and closure. Conclusion: Gastrostomy care is indispensable for patients, since its guarantee the safety of the procedure, without the risk of complications. The nurse has a responsibility and a privileged position on these patients, since to work with the gastrotomized child is to build a close and collaborative relationship with the child and the family and to contribute to the scientifi c enhancement and the improvement in the quality of nursing care, thus favoring a partnership between the team of professionals and the family.
Objetivo: identificar os diagnósticos de enfermagem da NANDA-I relacionados à amamentação em nutrizes acompanhadas na atenção primária à saúde. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva com abordagem quantitativa, realizada em uma Unidade de Atenção Primária à Saúde em Fortaleza, Ceará, com a participação de 135 nutrizes e seus filhos. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de um formulário contendo perguntas abertas e fechadas. Foi utilizada a versão NANDA-I 2015-2017 para a identificação dos diagnósticos de enfermagem. As informações obtidas no estudo foram tratadas pela análise descritiva. Resultados: Os diagnósticos de enfermagem identificados foram: Disposição para amamentação melhorada, Amamentação ineficaz, Leite materno insuficiente, Amamentação interrompida, Risco de vínculo prejudicado e Padrão ineficaz de alimentação do lactente. Conclusão: o diagnóstico de enfermagem relacionados à amamentação mais frequentes foi Disposição para amamentação melhorada, demonstrando a importância do apoio a nutriz na prática do aleitamento.
Objetivo: Relatar a vivência das atividades de orientações para o materno e alimentação complementar à criança atendida na puericultura. Relato de experiência: Trata-se de um relato de experiência sobre as atividades do projeto de extensão desenvolvido em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS), da cidade de Fortaleza-Ceará. O projeto iniciou-se em abril de 2019, com a participação de discentes e docentes do Curso de Enfermagem da universidade. Foram realizadas oficinas divididas em temáticas abordadas na puericultura para com as gestantes e puérperas. Durante a experiência, os participantes realizaram atividades com as mães, possibilitando a atividade de educação em saúde e interação do grupo com as mães. Considerações finais: Foi possível perceber a importância de realizar as ações de extensão, pois possibilitou aos participantes, o aprimoramento de técnicas de educação em saúde essenciais à prática do aleitamento materno e alimentação complementar. Ademais, nota-se que o conhecimento obtido com as ações do projeto possui relevância para a formação dos futuros profissionais.
