HTS materials have potential applications in building HTS linear generators (HTSLG) which generate substantial advantages over conventional ones. A HTS linear synchronous generator (HTSLSGs) with HTS coils as a direct-drive wave energy converter (DWEC) is proposed and designed. The characteristics, structures, advantages of the HTSLSGs with HTS coils are analyzed and presented.
